Thanks for the live update on Greenspan. Its about all I seen today on all the news channels. I wonder…how many will read the book…for what is not openly discussed therein. I wonder this evening how many will get past ‘watching the dog and pony show’…to wonder…why his book now….what is the purpose? Shocked by the headlines that the War in Iraq…was about oil…LOLOLOL….what remaining idiot is just figuring that one out??

Yeah… I am going to let Greenspan make a few bucks off my hard sweat and back. I will purchase and read his ‘confessions’. But mostly…will be looking for the items he fails to address. You gotta read betwixt the lines sometimes…yep.

But really the book I most look forward to one day…perhaps reading from the beach in Belize…is Bernake’s Memoiors……probably entitled,” How I Shrunk the Global Economy’,,,and it wasnt my Fault’. Or perhaps a better title….” Fall Guy….How I Got the Blame”. Well…forget the future title, I doubt it will matter to most Americans as they face hyperinflation of homes, food, and energy prices. Academic theories/philosphies….will matter little to most as they use the ‘greenback’ to fuel thier pot belly stoves trying to stay warm, with empy stomachs. Sounds like a story told….in Germany…long ago?

Hey buddy. Glad to see you posting more. I value your contributions. Its almost tomorrowta and gold is up a bit. Lots of stuff going on this week, and most of the paper stuff is bad for gold and the fundamentals are through the roof. The filth will probably do all they can to cool gold down this week as they can’t let it gain any momentum with all those in the money Dec calls. I’m still clinging to my assertion that silver is near crisis and when it blows we will be happily shocked. 

No fishing tomorrow, GOLF!  Need to do some maintenance on my fishing gear. Load new line , clean and lube the reels, change the hooks on a few lures….   So fishing is out for a while.

Buygold; I couldn’t agree more… greedscum will only tell that which fits his agenda or that agenda he is instructed to support.  In his entire tenure, he never made a clear statement. He was always hiding behind a curtain except when it came to giving seriously misleading info or recommendations. (think reco’s to -use ARMs-, and -there is no need to regulate derivatives-).  I remember the fun I had a few times on GEF providing my interpretation of his testimony before congress. He was so obscure, he was easy pickins. Greedscum is a tool of the filth and as such I cannot give him credit even if somehow he stumbles over the truth.

All; Take a minute to ponder; gold is $710. Remember back in 2000 when gold was just above $250 and there was a lot of speculation how rich we would be when gold hit $500? I think a componnent of the filth plan is trying to inflate the currency faster than they will let the PoG rise so that we can’t make a killing. What they are doing is destroying the average Joe and Jill and the entire middle class while we seem to maintain a measure of gain.

But like all manipulations, there comes a day of reckoning. That day we will look back at $700 wondering why we did not sell everything and load up.  But we are human and have probably done what we could do without extreme measures for the most part. I believe it will be enough to have been right and well positioned. 

We are blessed with awareness and a family (tent bugs)  to share the journey. Nite all, got to get some Z’s for the early rise tomorrow.

It’s so damn obvious. 

I am going to go out on a limb a little this evening. But hey, after making a drunken fool of self in the last couple weeks…(Hey…I aint real proud of it…but it helped me work out some things). In times of trouble…when the mind over extends its ability to comprehend and understand…some seek thier local priest or paster. Some pray a lot more. My choice was the ‘freedom’ of the bottle. Dont recommend it as the best choice. It was one that over 30 years, has proven to be of some help in my particular instance. Course, it just could be an easy way out, the loosers cheap answer. In any event….I have reached the conclusion that I learn, benefit little, from cerebral exercise. For me…it has been the painful lessons of life that have expanded my learning ability and knoweldge. Sometimes…it took a bottle or two, to help with the pain afterwards. Different strokes for differant folks. Course, I am sure local sawbones would have preferred I numbed my mind and emotions with one of his anti-depressant pills. Call me stupid,…but I think the pain, and dealing with a ‘drug’ I am more familar with…works best for me. I pretty much am aware of the side effects…being/appearing to be…really dumb, and on worse occaisions…giving up my dinner while bending over the toilet. Not medical, nor investment advice you understand…I just know me.

Anyway, come take a journey of the mind with me tonight. I am beginning to beleive a pickled brain…may not be all that wrong in the answers or solutions. But here is the good news…If my reactions/repsonses are off, or wrong..I can always blame the booze. (grin)

On one of our trips to Belize, Irish and I were …actually,…we started out on the balcony of our hotel and later moved the thought and conversation down to the beach. Irish was asking me about general things at first. I think he was trying to get a ‘read’ on Famboy. The conversation covered a lot of ground that evening. From what I really thought of our Government (lol…hmmm….lets say I was not impressed with our leaders. ) What the future might bring in the way of economics. (No expert here….but basically….Fiat is more entrenched with the evil/bad side than with the good side. That is…if one considers the side effects, of honest money and honest people) We eventually even got around to our ‘faith’, of discussion of a ‘Greater Power’.

Let me pause here just a second to address my faith. ( I can hear the pleas of Soee a couple weeks back urging us all to avoid such a ‘controversial subject) Let me take a few sentences and explain my toughts of faith. I aint sold on no particular organized ‘religion’. I have read both the Bible and Koran. I guess what it all boiled down to me was this. Either we crawled up out of some pond millions of years ago. And all we have is to be born, live a very short period and then die. ?? IF that is the case, and my own opinion from just a science as we understand it today…its a case lacking in scientific evidence…but if that is the case…then why obey any so called ‘moral ideals’? Why not rape, plunder, and seek fortune above all else? If this life is all we will ever have…why not seek to gain all the pleasure we possibly can? On the other hand, if there is/was a Creator. And there is more to each of us than just fleash and bone. IF there is something inside us that will trangress the physical death one day? That brings up some differant items to be delt with does it not?

Not to worry, my picture will not soon appear on the cover of any Christian Magazine. Mother Teresa and I probably share little in common. But I do believe there is a Creator…I call him God. And I think, there is more to life, and even an after life, than just attending to one’s physical desires.

Sorry for the side track…just something I had to say this evening. Now back to what I sat down to write about. During that starry evening on the beach, and having covered quite a bit of ground, Irish and I…our words turned to surviving the forces and thier ‘Great Fiat Experiment’. Neither of us, thought this whole thing will end well. At least for the common American. The assualts on our way of life, our freedoms, and our rights are plain enough to see. Least, I would like to think so, in spite of many that continue a life of debt…which is another way of spelling ’servitude’. It does not take a highly educated person,..(in fact, I am beginning to think that may be a stumbling block more than a help), to see how this country has been ‘Stolen’, and Bankrupted by a few and some Corporations in recent years.

Irish finally came out and asked my opinion of ’staying here’ (USA) and trying to hold on during the coming times. Not caring if he thought I crazy, or sane, I told him, actually I reguritated what lessons I once had been taught. But with a little more heart, and deeper understanding…in how I advice ‘past clients’ in the security field. Following, is what I would tell someone seeking security for themselves and family.

IN case of some ‘disaster’….be it man made or natural.

* You want to place you and yours, at a safe distance from mobs and large groups.
(Reasons, should be thought out…but also self evident)

* You need three things to survive. Food, Water, & Shelter. That is what the experts tell me…I of course added a forth, make that five items as my current thinking goes. Some Jack Daniels and a good cigar.

* Security…is something few wish to really think hard about…but without it, and some planning,…it is probably going to turn out that someone one day will take one of the three items needed to survive. If one is lucky that day/night….that is all they will take.

* While guns, and more guns….did I mention guns here?. And a myraid of other security things that could and should be considered, is the training of implementing such items and procedures…if one hopes to protect body and assets. IN the very end….it is taking responsability for ones personal safety/security that may make the difference. Kinda of a foreign idea to many Americans these day that trust/count on …dialing 911. (Note here…I did not say survival was easy…)Those that have consdiered such things, trained for such events….will probably end up proving something about the higher ups on the ‘Food Chain’. Hey perhaps Darwin was right afterall. LOL!

* Not only is ‘knowledge’ power. It provides the leverage needed to overcome. Knowledge of finance, of gold, of guns, of food…of basic things to survive while many persish. And here is a hint to the point I am really attempting to make tonight. Can one person over a lifetime obtain such knowledge? Yeah….then you have to ask…if that one person checks out….where does that leave the rest? But a group, of individuals having such knowledge…the odds suddenly turn very favorable in their efforts to survive, and thrive in a harsh environment. ( I am guessing, the really smart ones know what is coming next)

* I dont like the word ‘commune’, its so…60′ish….so ???…clan like or something. Is there benefit to like minded persons living nearby, supporting each other…absolutely. Something about…the three cord rope provides strenth that is not ‘easily broken’. Fully’s map/listing of Gold Hearts is a good thing. Kinda lets us know, we are not alone. However….while the distance between us may serve usefull…there may come a time, when some of us are just a little closer in time of help or need. Irish and I have spoken of the benefits of being far apart. Something happens in Chicago…he and family are welcome, and would be expected to make it to Georgia. Something in the makings/plans now for a couple years. Irish, has offered the use of his farm…in case Atlanta goes missing on the map.

* OK..enough beating around the bush this evening. Plans should be being made. Personally, I think some plans outside of the USA, may provide certain levels of protection, and survivability…that some may wish to consider. Should half a dozen, or a dozen folks begin to think on buying a couple hundred acres, with some beach front property in a land that will most likely be overlooked by the great powers? Yet, provide a couple hour plane flight back to the states if things continue to hold some degree of ‘normalacy’? I say, let your research and resources provide the clues.

In closing this subject tonight…let me offer up just an idea or two. Those that have been reading these pages for the last year know that I favor a place, a country called Belize. The logistics, political, language, abilty to support life & business have been key considerations in my choice. Tonight, let me throw in a few other ‘items of interest’ that have recently shown themselves. The country is populated by about 280,000 people. Through some amount of ‘luck’….it appears several of us will soon be able to pick up the phone, and talk to the President of Belize at almost will. Not to mention contacts at other high level people. How about I mention, that there are probably a few reading these words tonight, with enough funds, and influence that could be brought to bear…to ‘buy’ the Belize Central Bank. Currently Belize…only an independant country for the last 20 odd years…with thier currency tied to the US Dollar at a 2:1 ratio. (Watching the US Dollar lose 40% of its value in the past five years I might point out). Ya think….perhaps soon in the future…a few folks might be instrunmental in A) convincing the Belize CB/Nation to sever this losing tie to the dollar? and B) To institute thier own currency…perhaps gold/silver backed? Ya think that idea might just have a chance? I can tell you for a fact….there are some members of the Gold Tent…that will soon have the chance to make such a phone call…attend such a dinner….and soon be offered the chance to lay out such plans.

I know…it all sounds a little crazy. A little far fetched you say? Let me put to you this way. I live in a little county outside Atlanta with a population greater than Belize. I can barely at this moment get my county representative to return a phone call…much less the ‘Grand PooPah County Commissioner’ to respond to any of my requests. Funny, how I can pick up the phone…and talk all I want to the person who is probably the Next Attorney General for the Country of Belize.

The secret to success…or so I am told…is the ability to recognize it when it knocks on your door.

Thanks for the gold time capsule. Amazing how the article could be written today with just a few adjustments. Note the mention of the London Gold Pool where a handful of men set the price twice a day in Mr. Rothschild’s office. I think it is little different today. The price is “fixed” as they put it in those simpler times. I wish he had spent more time on the SDRs ( I think SDKS is a typo). They were one of their clever inventions to smooth over trade deficits. He also alludes to a solution to the gold price rise that never came to pass. As I understand, Comex changed the rules so that basically you could only sell (duh). Sinclair went short at $850 or thereabouts and bought 30 yr treasuries at 15% interest , Volcker raised interest rates til banks were offering 18% on passbook and a free TV to open an account The European Central Banks dumped gold into the market and Voila, there you have it.

Personally I don’t see a repeat of the same scenario although history ryhmes. The CBs have already done most of their dumping. The Chinese were not in the game then. Regardless we are at least 5 years away from any kind of top in my very modest opinion.

His  span as chairman of the Fed was generally a disaster. I remember so well his ARM recomendation and everyone with half a brain, who had not already dismissed his advice, lost all confidence in him on that day. I also remember his “irrational exuberance” speech and the panic that ensued.  Every time he went before Congress his ego became a little more inflated, his speech became a little more cloudy and “nuanced” (love the use of that word by the self-described  progressives) , but those brilliant defenders of freedom, the Congress, prayed at the altar of his drivel-most likely because they didnt understand anything he said but were afraid to admit it. They must act like they know all no matter how incompetent and ignorant they may be. Those of us grounded in reality knew he was full of it and a traitor to his own earlier expressed principles. He sold out and now he has written a book to do what all those who have sold out in DC do: whitewash and excuse the mess he helped to create. The timing of his resignation was not accidental. I will not purchase his book. I cussed him thoughout his tenure as Chairman and certainly will not place one cent in the man’s pocket by buying the book. He is well enough off without book sales: he had the ulimate insider knowlege to make a fortune. By the way, was it coincidence that we only got serious about deposing Saddam after he announced he would not accept the US$ for oil? Maybe old Sir Alan is right on that one, but not telling the entire story.

It’s good to see that others see common conclusions and have the ability to express them better than I can.

It’s not a religious thing…it’s the money trail and the control the money enables…no need to be subject to accountability…just forge ahead…regardless.

That’s where we’re at….a sad fact.
