Although it describes some of the idiosyncracies of the primaries, as part of U.S. elections, do the idiosyncracies really matter, since they are just an integral part of democracy in the U.S. ? I ask that because I have the impression that the export of democracy from the U.S. is still a goal of some in the U.S. administration. I assume that the intended recipients of this export are some of the 150+ jurisdictions around the world in which there are reported to be a U.S. military presence in some form. Seems like a lucrative export initiative to me, even if many of the intended recipients may not be openly interested in democracy as practiced in North America. I dont attach a <g> here, but I am being tonge-in-cheek about the idea of “exporting democracy” from North America. Best wishes. Equiz
