Sinbad

Am praying that you have a most successful and speedy recovery! Just listen to the docs and don’t over-do it. All the best.—-aggie.

MadMike. Cheers. I know the chilly feeling. We used to live in Calgary.

Wishing you good fortune in the PM days ahead.  Going now to watch a TV  (PBS) documentary on tribal areas in Pakistan.  Who says the world has succumbed to the horrors of excess “globalization”.  How about the continuing slaughter of innocent people because of localized, not globalized, tribal warfare.  I suppose the slow easing out of tribal warfare is just part of the slow evolution of the human species.   It seems we arose from the Rift Valley region of Africa, multiplied enough until we needed to form separate tribes, and then the tribes decided that each other were the “enemy” and they should fight each other, because the other tribe is different that we are.  It will be interesting to see PBS’s take on tribes in Pakistan, since he US is gearing up to go in there.  Meanwhile, tribes  in the Rift Valley of Kenya tonight are planning tomorrow’s approach to more slaughter.

Cheers and best wishes.  Equiz.  Look forward to talking to you again on a happier note.

I know sengfarmer and Mo Bax are not going to check in for days and this post will be deep in history by then so I want to snitch a little.
Everyone that has come in contact with mo bax down here has remarked to his quickness depth and strength of character. Just today the same has started with Sengfarmer.
I am telling you all that Belizians are very sensitive and mysterious people that don’t get fooled easily. In other words I am giving everyone on this board a pat on the back because this makes about 11 individuals from the tent that have been down here.and nary a word sideways about anyone. On the contrary people are beginning to wonder what the heck we are all about. It is as positive a feedback as I have ever experienced. There is something about what we are doing, how we are doing it, and who we are ,that is beginning to create an awareness about us in people that is formenting a favorable atmosphere.

Know how much you love your Sinbad,so keep him walking. We need him in decent shape to organize the building task force that must be assembled down here. I am glad the darn thing is over. Cause I figured he was going to start using it as an excuse for any bad trades he made lately. Haaa His plot is ready for him and his hammock too.

Upside down on your mortgage?

strikerrod (21:54) I just edited my previous post to make it clear that

Uranium City’s recorded minus 59 degrees was with wind chill factored in.  That does make quite a difference.  Your locale in Ontario at minus 40 degrees has probably been in the minus 50’s as well if you express it in terms of wind chill.  Doesnt matter - at minus 40 and anything below that its cold.  Best wishes, Equiz.

Equisetum ….

Balmy +5C here today …. but starting to drop now …. supposed to be -9C tomorrow …. still a far cry from -59C … can’t remember being any colder than -40C here at any given time.

FlGold—glad you found the article, uummmm, typical?

Your reaction to it was the same as mine, and the BS meter illustrated it perfectly!

strikerrod (21:46) Definitely not fruit growing country. I know it gets cold where you live too. But that’s one thing that helps make us Canadian !

Thank you for posting the link to the article - I believe that it ranks very highly on the

regardless of that,  I appreciate the opportunity to know what the CROOKS are up to and I would not have had that chance without your posting the link!   Thanks!

A news report a few minutes ago said it was now minus 59 degrees

in Uranium City, Saskatchewan, making it the coolest locale in Canada  according to “wind-chill”  data collection points available at that hour (no doubt there is a cooler spot somewhere that doesnt have a Stevenson screen and a max/min thermometer to record the event).  Uranium City comes by its name honestly, for the community is located at the northern edge of the uranium-rich Athabasca Basin.  But although the community is built over radioactively hot rocks, it does get cool above ground.

For the moment, the cool temperatures do nothing to enhance public perceptions of the fuel and power value of nuclear energy, nor for that matter the fuel and power value of natural gas.  But that ill-conceived perception too will change when the lights start going out in Toledo, Cleveland and Youngstown - maybe Chicago too.  Equiz.

Mrs. Sinbad @ 20:37 …. for Mr. Sinbad

  for a speedy recovery.
