But..but…but…what of ‘Free Markets’, and ‘Transparency’, and ‘Reliable Gobberment Stats’, and ….and…..it is no wonder I feel like the proverbial mushroom more days than not.
Thanks for the heads up on what ‘numbers’ I wont have to bother with any longer.
If the Master Puppeteer, ( I know someone is pulling the strings, and the wool over our eyes!), thinks I will ever click the heels of these cowboy boots, stand at attention, and raise arm in salute….well, I hope he is wearing Depends, cause he’s gonna be standing there for a long time waiting my ’salute’.
“Upping the Inflation Dosage”
“However, like all drugs, the biggest danger is an overdose. In monetary terms an overdose is hyperinflation, which will surely kill our economy. It is my sincere hope that before we reach that “point of no return,” a correct diagnosis is finally made. When that occurs, the stimulants will be cut off, and the free market will finally be allowed to administer the only cure that works: recession. If that means we lose some speed on our fastball, so be it. Maybe we could use a few months in the minor leagues to get back to basics. While we may not like the economic side effects of stopping cold turkey, it sure beats carrying our money around in wheelbarrows!”

I almost forgot, you know how much it cost to buy formula for a baby now..like 300 or more..a month. That is totally out there, what are these greedy people thinking. Id like to have them investigated to see how much it cost to make that formula and what theyre selling it for. Its just shocking.
Ma Kettle
I liked that lady..Ma Kettle. I was a young mother at the time of a Aussie girl and what young parents have money..or most. But I didn’t have to buy formula for mine, which helped.
I didn’t see the post on soy milk. But some mothers have babys who are allergic to milk. One sign is if they are gasy and colic-y. It’s real pain they feel, same but not as pain that makes them cry when they are hungry, colic is worse with a allergic baby and can also cause diarrhea which could be life threating. But for a child who isn’t I don’t have a comment. Were raised to think cows milk is better but studys what I remember shown that babys fed cows milk had a harder time digesting than mothers milk ..molecules bigger..ment for calves. And already shown some cholestrol in the body..or higher levels. That was a long time ago study and was comparing cows milk to mothers milk, not soy. Just more info on the subject.
JBI..this deserves a place of its own at the Famous Quotes section..thanks for reminding us
“The U.S. government has a technology, called a printing press (or today, it’s electronic equivalent), that allows it to produce as many U.S. dollars as it wishes at essentially no cost. By increasing the number of U.S. dollars in circulation, or even by credibly threatening to do so, the U.S. government can also reduce the value of a dollar in terms of goods and services, which is equivalent to raising the prices in dollars of those goods and services. We conclude that, under a paper-money system, a determined government can always generate higher spending and hence positive inflation”

“Bombfire of the Vanities!”
“……..First, let’s recall the prophetic words outlining the G7 central banks’ unlimited power to create inflation by the Federal Reserve governor, and now chairman, “Helicopter” Ben Bernanke in November 2002:
“The U.S. government has a technology, called a printing press (or today, it’s electronic equivalent), that allows it to produce as many U.S. dollars as it wishes at essentially no cost.

The turmoil generated by the blow-by-blow headlines will provide you opportunities to gather value from your paper currencies, and then the assets will rocket higher to reflect the lower purchasing power of the currency in which they are priced. If the financial system was going to implode it would have done so by now, as illustrated by the non borrowed reserves. Take a look at what gold has done in price since those reserves took a nose dive. It has raced higher to reflect the money creation; M3 is still racing along at a 15% plus clip. The unfolding “Crack up Boom” just slipped into a higher gear!

Very Intersting reading
There is much of interest tonight on JS’s website, concerning the issue we recently discussed about the price of gold eventually stablizing at a high plateau, and what comes after that.

Re: NXG - Yep, still holding on to a small position. Sold a little bunch a while back at $3.22, took proceeds and bought me some more junk silver coins. Happy camper here, so far. But NXG will fly again someday….BIG time, I believe.
And you have a great weekend yourself, friend.
