@all NOT Noront the junior we all dream of

Loads of useful information on their forum, apears NOT (and maybe other SPQ,BMK,TME) has a long long way to run, DYODD but some of the projections are both conservative and mind boggling….I continue to hold for a long time yet…Grin may be able to add more chart info for those interested whereas I am a FA type …

This ‘ole dog could be wrong…….However, I lived through a similar deal 30 years ago when everybody thought there would never be another bad day for the grains……The rest my friend…..is history. I’m way more bullish on gold over the long haul than I am on wheat. All the best.—–aggie.

ment17 (23:08) Clarifications noted. Speaking of ‘green’ did you

see in the news over the past few weeks that our British Columbia premier, Gordon Campbell, is now in a contest with Governor Arnold of California to see who can out-green each other.  They have met and compared notes at least once.  I’m not sure if they bothered to bring in the governors of Washington and Oregon.

Watch as we get into those beautiful Puget Sound sunsets of spring and summer, if you look northwest towards Victoria you will see a green glow over the placid waters as the sun slowly sinks. <g>.

As an extension to my last post, I’d suggest there are damn few here that will make anything in playing the futures markets in wheat. Just as Silver is the bitch in the pms…..wheat is very fickle most of the time…. a lot like Silver. There are a good number here that seem to have a great grasp of fundamentals and investment acumen needed to be successful in the precious metals. I’d sure caution most here about going too deep into the wheat market. Okie and myself….and I hope I can speak for Okie…..have talked about the relationship that the grains and the pms share. We have commented on these topics for the last 2 or 3 years. I do think the wheat market is leading and signaling what is about to happen in the pms. If ya want to know where gold is headed….watch da wheat. I just hope no one thinks I’m an advocate of anyone loading their boat with a derivitive of a  commodity that a lot people with a lifetime of knowledge have been badly burned on. All the best.—-aggie.

aggie, wheat plantings

So the whole world plants wheat.  One decent new strain of rust, and a good weather system, and we have no food!

Farmers are so reactive.  “Wow, look at the price of wheat!  I’ll cull my flock, plough up the pastures and plant wheat for next year.”   As you say, what”ll that do to the POW?  And to the price of lamb, cotton, beef?  Better off sticking with the lamb and beef, and enjoying plenty of cheap grain feed!

Ike (23:16) Thanks. I guess I didnt take seriously enough that

movements of gold in kind were taking place to the extent indicated by the table you posted.  Best wishes.  Equiz.

Hello Ment,

I’m just back on-line and read your 16:17 post regarding my contacting my Congressional Representative concerning the IMF Gold Sale.

drb2 @ 16:17-> Posted by ment17 @ 16:25 pm on February 25, 2008 why worry one second about this supposed gold sale .. it will be gobbled up in a new york second.. and once again shows the stupidity of the simple minds … and answers from a representative of the people save the breath lol//

LOL - of course, you are right -  the gold will be gobbled up.  In fact, it is all likely a bluff anyway..

My purpose in contacting my “Representative” (and I use the term extremely loosely) is twofold:

#1) to do my duty as a citizen by following the proper  “Chain of Command” in addressing wrong doings.

#2) put the miserable parasites on notice that not all of their constituents are completely, totally brain dead.

#3) BONUS – I actually enjoy hearing all the excuses the overpaid, self-important staff make while trying to explain why they can’t divulge the CongressCreature’s position on the sale.

floridagold

I’m extremely cautious in  thinking these price levels in wheat will hold for any length of time. As you may have heard the Aussies on this board report that growing conditions over there are much improved. Just as is here…..everybody and their dog will be growing wheat by this time next year. Even cotton farmers on the South Plains around Lubbock are talking the game. Lubbock….the cotton capital of the US converting to wheat production??? Somethin’s gunna give IMO. Do you remember what the “fence row to fence row” policy under Secretary of Agriculture Earl Butz wrought? The farmer…especially the US farmer, is his own worst enemy. With the spectacular advances in production technologies, it won’t be long before he produces himself back into the poorhouse. Average per acre wheat yields have more than doubled in my lifetime. All the best.—-aggie.

Equiz……IMF apparent Gold Sales

I’d read it earlier, but right at the last Paragraph of that IMF link, they explained how Gold was returned to them in kind. For repayment of loans.
The below paints a dismal future. Check # 163. Sorry, the alignment didn’t take, but it’s readable.

IMF gold sales……just a lot of jawboning

saferedirectaspx.gif

Even if they do sell some gold…..so what?…..the market will just eat it up and continue up.

PS: must cick on pic for full effect

Maybe Planet X will solve a problem

Now that Algors Glo-Bull W0rming has been thoroughly discredited. The downside is,
Darn……….,my Carbon Credit Sales Scam is going along with his. ((

But not to worry. There’ll be something new remanufactured (or old) to take folk’s minds off the Central Bank Scams taking place under J&J’s nose. Like perhaps, an invasion from outer space??
Some folks talking this one up.

Another Ice Age?
Yeah. And again, some folks are talking this up.
Hmmmm, how can I get in on that one………thinking…….

Planet X ……..well, that’ll keep 99% busy and all the BubbleHeads talking & worrying until 2012.

Back to melting pennies for a 100% profit.
Shhhhhh…….don’t ask, don’t tell. :-)

Equisetum @ 22:54 pm

clarification moose dung LOL ‘

actually my reference to the imf gold fund sales and the rapid behavior of the pavlovian ring syndrome ”

like planet X… for the last 7 years the stories brought out about gold have been legion..

it goes up because of the india , packistan war in 2002 .. it goes down because some person in india does not buy for a wedding .. on and on. the hyperbole and down right moose***** would fill a big basket of balder-moose-dash..

now if the imf sells the world of gold comes crashing down … like brown of england the imf shows its stupefied brain mass .. along with those who run at a wiff of smoke

no wonder the gold stocks don’t move .. they have been taken over by a herd of knats .. and folks that have no understanding of economics , and what is happening in the world around them

and trade away gold silver stocks .. as if the emperical facts and all statistical evidence show that 90 percent of um are trending water..

they have been captured by the green people ,,, one green person to my Canadian friend

stagflation:

inflating or deflating a moose

ment17 (22:43) I notice your LOL notation but I still dont

know what to conclude if I were to do your recommended characterization of IMF gold as bull$$it.  I did think that their sales were real - at least I took JS’s posting today on IMF sales as real, or are you suggesting, with a LOL, that JS is just bull$$itting?  Could be, I suppose.  Or were you suggesting with a LOL that the idea of IMF having any gold at all is bull$$it?  The only reason I take note of this stuff at all is that IMF does get dragged in fairly often as the alleged  reason why the price of gold every once in awhile dips down again for a little while - and if IMF is selling gold it presumably represents a net movement of the stuff from western hands to Asian and middle East hands.  That’s OK too I guess - may the gold go to the smartest ones.  Cheers, Equiz.

Trigold @ 22:46 pm

peace brother .. take three deep breaths and say to your self.. “the river” … lol
