AuGirl & Irish
Thanks for the warm welcome & info. I love the tropics and have vacationed in various tropical places quite a few times. I’m not sure how I’d adjust to being there full time but I sure am getting sick of winters up north and the political situation in the USA scares me more every day.
I’ve been investing in PM’s (physical and stocks) since 2001 (well, actually longer than that..) so I’m doing well financially but I’m still relatively young and certainly not ready yet (in attitude or financially) for retirement. So I’d need to do something for a living down there, at least for a while. I guess for now I’ll study up on Belize and hope I keep getting good investing advice from the Gold Forum and now the “Tent”!
Thanks again, everybody, for your responses. It’s good to be here!

Welcome to the tent.. Re; Belize …I’ve been there twice,,I’m no expert (Irish is the best go to guy for info) but you can start at Belize City (landing at Philip Godson Airport) . Best way to get around is via rented vehicle..Good places to visit are San Ignacio , (I’ve stayed at the San Ignacio Lodge and it is beautiful) http://www.sanignaciobelize.com/ There are Mayan ruins you can visit in the area.
Also, visit the capital Belmopan, then back to the coast and the village of Hopkins is nice and lots of resorts to stay at there..You can also take a boat ride from Belize City the several of the small islands off the coast..I have been to Amerbergris Caye and Caye Caulker..Both are very nice.. Also further down the coast is Placencia to visit..Let me know if you have any other questions..As far as jobs go, that might be tough as wages are quite low there so I hear.. Cheers..AuGirl

Hi Fully; thanks for the kind words.
BTW, I’m pulling out all the stops, putting a fresh oil change in Old Bessie my golden oldie car from the 80’s, and will make every effort to join the crowd at Tottsville in May.
Cheers, TQ

Hmmm? One might almost think things are just as socialistic south of the border as they are in
Alberta, an energy-producing part of Canada that some south of the border perceive as a hotbed of socialism. <g and LOL>. Equiz.
