Dangers in our water supply

I just read an article about residual pharmaceutical products in our water supply.  The long term implications of these drugs in the water that can come out of our tap may be beyond just disturbing. I wouldn’t ever drink the tap water. Showering in it without some kind of filter is probable bad for the body too. The odor of chlorine in the water really annoys me even if its just in the initial burst. I drink distilled water but it too has its drawbacks. The leaching of the plastic bottles can be harmful. Would like to hear what others are doing about the water they drink. This article might surprise some of you.

Wanka…………..Sister SLD…….

She was in the office a couple of months, ago, but it was a very hectic day.  I know that I mentioned the tent to her, and I believe that she told me that she was aware of it, but was pretty busy.  I think she is currently in the area, now, but you know the lady moves with the winds.  I believe she recently spent some quality time in between down in the SouthWest.

My friend asked

whats the difference betwen a speculator and an investor?.I replied “Do you remember that nice”speculation” of a Exploration stock you told me about?”.He said” yes,it went down, but it’ll come back,Ill just hold it.”I said “you just became an investor!..He thought for a moment and smiled …”I see what you mean.”

“Please tell me that this whole thing with SOEE is  NOT  over the fact that a couple of posters who you happened to like were ‘removed’ from the Tent for their actions.

If that is not the case, then why did you have to include the last paragraph is a post to ME??’

===============================

It has nothing to do with the fact some poster might have been removed from the tent, nor the fact many others have left for related reasons.  In fact, there have been no posters who have left that I have any more affinity for than any other poster at the tent as I really do like all of the posters, and that does include SOEE.  If there are any posters that I have a special fondness for in one way or another, they are still, here.  Some examples might be Deadeye, Ment17, Y2KDon, Irish, FGC, Farmboy, Grin, RedOkie, Farmboy, and Wanka………and, yes, Farmboy got a double vote.  I don’t even know why that list pops out of my mind, except that each of those posters have left some indelible mark on my life for one reason or another.  I do not include you on that list, just like I do not include “Ike”, even though I have seen Ike perform the job of moderator on a private board in a very competent way for a very long time.  Recently, I have shared some fine conversations with Ike that I have been most touched by.

I suppose I did not “have to include that paragraph” in the post to you, but must have felt that it fell in line with the trend of conversation.

I have no problem with SOEE’s posts on his trades short the general markets, in fact, have anticipated general market weakness in this time period that should continue toward year-end.  I simply prefer to stick with my expectations for the PM sector along with the underlying fundamental and technical reasons that support them.  At times SOEE seems very aggressive to those opinions, in fact, I was very surprised to hear him say, today, that he has a large long position in PM stocks. In fact, I am not so sure there is a “whole thing with SOEE” from my vantage point.   Yet, as witnessed in this conversation stream it now appears that there might be an “appearance problem” of one moderator potentially picking up the sword for another over a simple case of two differing opinions on the PM stock potentials.  So, let me tell you a little story that comes to mind.

Many years, ago, many different groups of people took it upon themselves to travel a great distance to a new land to escape tyranny.  Those people created a new land with bold leaders who fought their butts off to create a land of freedom founded upon a democratic way with explicit policies intended to create many guarantees against future tyranny that also created a vast enumeration of personal freedoms.  Through history, it has been suggested many times that the new land of freedom would eventually fail, due to the inherent desire of humans to invariably cluster together redefining the freedoms when it came to their personal wants.  It certainly appears that those warnings are coming to fruition a few hundred years, later, in what was once considered to be the “Land of the Free.

If you would prefer that I no longer disagree with SOEE in any direct way on tent grounds, then just say, “PM FEVER, I’d prefer you not disagree with SOEE on tent grounds.”  I would have no problem with that rule, especially if you would publicly suggest that SOEE not constantly hack on any of my opinions on the PM markets.  In fact, I could live with such a rule even if you do not limit SOEE’s hacking on my work.  If you would prefer that I apologize to SOEE if the PM stocks move aggressively up from here in the intermediate-term time-frame, I would be more than happy to do so.  But that is where I draw the line.   I will not be willing to call you “boss”, nor “master”, nor “The Great White Hope” no matter how many of me fingernails you remove from me feeble body.

I certainly hope you have a sense of humor, FloridaGold, and “yes” I am now laughing, but not at you.  I want to see nothing but the best for the Tent, and would like to see nothing more than for SOEE to report that he has increased his account by 50 million dollars by year-end.

I will try to “wipe” any past potential negative thoughts from my memory bank in terms of the above and move forward with my expectations for the PM markets.  As Sister SLD always said, “Gold and Silver- a way of life.”

ment17 (22:12, Mar 8th) You mentioned the importance of

tip-toeing “through Equisetums growing in the dirt”.  Good advice, but sometimes Equis grows so thick (illustrated below) that some of it is going to get trampled even if you tip toe.  But thats OK too - it just means that some of the gold accumulated in the trampled Equis biomass gets recycled back to the “dirt” from whence it came.  Just like its been in nature since even before the first Salish people moved into these  west coast environs 8000 + years ago.  Best wishes.

Equisetum………..

It is easy for any of us, including myself, to get wrapped up in our thoughts to the point of virtual “tunnel vision” from time to time.  I thank you for motivating me to take a step back to smell the flowers, if you will.  I do appreciate that.

What a difference a week makes.

I have just come back from a short holiday.  Prior to my departure, the news was bleak enough, but now the talk is noticeably  more sombre.  It would appear that the possibility that we could escape a depression is becoming much more remote.

While we were away, we stayed in a motel in a beautiful  area where we used to live on the North Shore of Auckland.    There was no sign that anyone was aware that hard times might be approaching.  The many restaurants and bars were full to overflowing, the shops were busy, the signs of affluence were everywhere.

It was a fun holiday but the news has sure brought back to earth this morning.

PMFEVER, thank you for your thoughtful explanation at 23:34, March 08.

I know it is unfair to put words in the mouth of Sister SilverLustreDos when she is not here on Goldtent to respond, but as I recall from  a couple of conversations with her in 2005 I think she had an opinion that is very well explained by at least one of your points at 23:34 - namely that we must read all postings from the vantage point of our own circumstances.  This implies that some postings will give us further educational insights applicable to our own circumstances, and many postings will be entirely irrelevant to our circumstances.

I think that if we individually can impose the above perspective on what we read on Goldtent it will reduce the incidence of misunderstood communication between different persons who post on Goldtent.  Your 23:34 emphasized the uniqueness of each person’s investing circumstances, and I hope that recognition of such  uniqueness allows each of us to benefit optimally from the exchanges that take place here.   Best wishes.   Equiz.

thanks for the welcome

off to listen to Peter Schiff on gold seek radio

pmwatch9 @ 17:50 pm : Palladium

Are you able to buy Canadian Palladium Maple Leafs there? They should have a relatively low premium over spot PD.

As I am fond of saying, anything under the sun can be purchased via eBay. There are plenty of PD Maple Leafs as well as Pamp Suisse and Credit Suisse ingots available on eBay.

flax is used in making paper money, so that must be a growing

market, right?
