Similarly I used to think that George Orwell was out with his timing with 1984. Now I realise he was pretty much spot on, but they are so subtle we don’t realise it. Thought control especially, although I rather think that “thought control” as opposed to the masses is an oxymoron. I am still deluding myself that I am immune to it.
