In case you’re interested, at $4.73 per 100 x 3mg tabs, the place I order Solaray Tetra-Boron from charges far less than what it can be purchased for in the stores. It’s something I buy a year’s supply of at a time. Here’s the web site (listed alphabetically as Solaray - Boron, Tetra 100 Tab).
The vitamin C that I use is sodium ascorbate crystals, mixed in water, smoothies or juices like it’s going out of style, maybe 10 grams daily. I’m thinking of taking a much higher dosage. The best price I’ve gotten is $12.58 per lb. from these people. That’s also my source for CALM (magnesium).
Here are a couple of interesting web sites about vitamin C: one & two. Lots of things to explore from these sites. There’s so much to learn about this stuff and you can spend a lifetime researching it, but the bottom line is that we likely need a lot more vitamin C than we normally take in through diet.
Also, water was a recent topic here and is important in your case. Be aware that just like everything else, the quality is very often more important than the quantity. Drinking too much water can also cause problems. Very important is to make sure that intrcellular hydration takes place, which is easier said than done. Here are some sites that begin to explain: one, two, three.
I agree with what Israeli said about taking something only as long as there’s a deficiency. Yet my understanding is that chronic deficiencies of several minerals and substances are so common that the underlying deficiency is unlikely to go away by shortterm supplementation. This is why I take a lot of vitamin C, boron and magnesium. As far as I can tell they won’t do any harm and might possibly do a lot of good without my having to know the specifics. Best wishes to you!
