Honestly I never imagined that donating our time to administer a free site set up for educational and discussion purposes would be so wearisome and delicate. 

Surely, it must look a whole lot easier from the outside peering in…it reminds me of an IT Helpdesk type of job - completely thankless in most every way.

Why would he want to come back to a Tent that is “devolving”?  There are those who want to make this another Yahoo board but hopefully we will be successful in not letting that happen.  You got to try really hard to get zapped here but Macroman did his best and was successful.

For the record it was an unanimous decision between all the administrators.  No single removal of a poster is ever decided by one administrator.  Personally, I have always liked macroman - however, I for one, found his comment towards me very lewd and inappropriate.  I posted that mm should contact me personally offline; my email is easy to figure out.  He never made any such attempt to apologize.  That said a lot to me.

- The same day other posters were displaying jpegs of the moose and the concrete buffalo, also making  comments of ******pooch and other comments that could be interpreted as lewd on the same scale. Where do you draw the line?

-FGC mantains mm was warned three previous times but only knows of “the deadstick” offhanded attempt at being funny (failed miserably but deadeye was a gracious good sport in having the post edited). mm doesn’t mind the 3 strikes your out rule, as long as he knows he is on strike 2. There could be some truth to that story because as this 2003 article explains“The world’s largest silver and lead mine, BHP Cannington in Northwest Queensland, is getting bigger.

An upgrade worth 130 million dollars is underway, to help cope with a 60 per cent increase in production since it began operations, only five years ago.

Cannington, south of Mt Isa, is already the world’s largest silver and lead mine, supplying 7% of the world’s silver and nearly 12% of its lead.”

Govt probes fatal accident at BHP silver mine

An investigation is underway into yesterday’s fatal accident at a BHP Billiton mine in north-west Queensland.

Work has halted at the Cannington silver, lead and zinc mine near Mount Isa following the accident

And

AWU national secretary Ben Swan said a representative had been sent to the mine, but claimed staff were being intimidated against meeting him.

“BHP is forcing him to sit in a room they have nominated, and (are) virtually daring any employee to walk past a manager and talk to the union about this awful incident,” Mr Swan said.

Mr Swan said BHP had denied access to another representative following the death of a 19-year-old miner at the same site in December 2006.

“He was only allowed to speak to two mine managers and was barred from speaking to any employees, let alone AWU members,” he said.
