Goldielocks….Novocaine has been around for over 100 years
…maybe 150…..but in 1835…..I think they used Whisky….2 shots for the patient and 3 for the dentist….

I hear ya.
Funny it is….how little I care to celebrate New Years on Jan First. Just never meant a whole lot to me. Figure, New Year, ought to be celebrated in the Spring, when all of nature is ‘ringing in’ the New Year.
Spring Fever….I gots it. Has something to do with the smell of turned earth, and seed planted, and fresh rain. Seems to be, my New Year.
The promise of crops, and hope, and new beginnings it is. Reckon, a man, or woman, who cant get the juices flowing, have a little more ’spring’ in thier step? Well, I use it for a barometer of sorts….to tell me…how much I am alive. How much I got ‘in me’.
Dont care a whole lot for winter. Maybe cause of the cold? Like even less those hot August days. When I just want to sit on the porch and seek comfort in it’s shade like ole Tatterhead. But Spring….lol….seems life starts all over, fresh, springin up like the flowers. Yeah, I likes Spring.
Ole Irish, he might not know it….understand it all some days….but he is doing fine….gonna be Fine! Aint much in life, worth doing….that dont present along the path a few challenges. Aint seen nothin yet, to stop, much less slow down, Irish and his Spirit. Seems, Freedom, is a lot like that too. (grin)
Think, only when someone quits trying, quits looking for a better way. Only when someone succumbs to the evil, those in power, begins to believe in the ‘Illusion’…..do times really get desperate. Think, as long as one can see a new season, a new spring….some hope, …..and is brave enough to grasp such a season, …think, things will work out allright.
AND, think many will follow in the ‘Leaders’ footsteps, and daily say a word of thanks, to the ‘Trail Blazer’. Seems, the problems encountered along the journey, will soon pale in comparison, to the problems of those ‘Left Behind’.
Kinda have liked how someone once put it…..dont pity the man lying broken and in defeat….pity the one, who knows niether Victory, nor Defeat….that one,…who lives in the ‘gray zone’.
Dont see much gray in the spring, Best, Farmboy
Hope you don’t mind. I used some of your Gold around the World charts and put some pitchforks on them so I could “see” them better. To me they now say “we’ve already seen the lows”. Here are the charts. The rest are easy to “see” as they are.

Thanks for all your tent efforts. They are very much appreciated.

I have missed a bunch of stuff posted on the Tent this week….but I did have the pleasure of hanging out with Golden100 and a couple of his like-minded friends at the Casey Summit in Scottsdale. Great guys….Golden and his friends…. I was rather surprised….the thing was sold out and some of the presentations were standing room only…and virtually everyone was from somewhere outside of Arizona - I found one name tag of someone from Phoenix and none from Scottsdale….so it was not like a bunch of locals filled up the conference. Most of the folks I spoke with personally seem to make a living by owning their own business or investing - and they seem to get a good deal of benefit from this particular type of event.
I will try to post more on presentations and information at the event - my head was spinning from so much “new” information - the list of quality presenters included Chris Powell from Gata, James Turk from Goldmoney and Doug Casey himself - but the best presentations were from “lessor” known folks with expertise in oil, commodities, alternative energy, real estate, gold and silver (obviously), international living options (ie non-US), etc… Bill Bonner was supposed to be the keynote speaker….but he had to do it via video…seems he had some “issues” getting to the U.S. from France….and it was not because his flight was cancelled!
I took tons of notes….and I would say at least half of the presentations provided very useful information regarding areas I would consider myself to be “highly interested in”. This was the first time I have ever attended any type of a “gold related” conference…and I chose this particular conference because they dealt with alot of areas beyond gold and silver….and it was mostly topics I am looking for more information on.
I suppose that they are more free flowing with information in these types of forums vs. stuff they write in newsletters….and besides..most of the presentations were done by folks with expertise in a certain area - and they do not publish newsletters or articles…so although most of us have probably never heard of some of the speakers - they are experts in oil and gas, commodity and futures trading, real estate and living in and investing in foreign countries….so it was mostly all good!
On another note….I donated to a local charity in Arizona and will be sitting at a table with 10 other folks at a black tie event in a couple of weeks. In exchange for my donation, Richard Maybury of Early Warning Report will be at my table. This is a charity he is involved with and he offered up dinner to some of his subscribers if they were interested and willing to make a donation….so I took the bait.
I only really subscribe to a few newsletters - it just so happens that over a two week period Doug Casey and Richard Maybury are having different events close to where I live….so I thought I would check it out. I have subscribed to both of these newsletters since the early to mid 1990’s….and have never met either of them before. Richard Maybury has called world events better than anyone I know of……he devoted one entire newsletter to Osama Bin Laden…sometime in the mid to late 1990’s….years before 9/11.
……really close…..you are a veritable Encyclopedia…

…any better Wanka ?
I think because peoples life styles were harder..although more natural then, they were probably stronger and probably able to take more pain. Or hope they did. Iremember after I had a child, my last, I had mine all natural, without pain killers, something women these days can’t even imagine either. I went to the dentist about 6 months after having her, he was young maybe new and seemed un organized. I had the baby with me who was getting upset sitting in that dentist chair after so long, so I told him to just drill it instead of waiting around for that too. He said really? I said I don’t know but lets try. So he did, it was little disconfort, but since I has a baby while back I had a lot more endorphines in me I though. I think they did too, or hope to think they did. But I can only emagine the terror to young children.
Maybe if enough people indicate to Mr. Sinclair that Vancouver would be a great place for one of his seminars it just might happen. I know I’ll make darn sure that I’ll be there.
Looks like you got your energy back from all that planting. lol If you have any to spare pass it on. On second thought keep it. After what I heard Irish went through you may need it.
A little Oak Ridge Boys this evening….(grin)
It must be new demand if the Asians are paying 124.00 for it and us only $24.oo! Us price will be rising with inflation very soon I’m sure.
Just finished watching some b-ball, great weekend if ya like the sport.
g-nite FGC, and all you other tenters, may your old dental chair bring in plenty of old customers…..with old broken teeth of course!
Im glad they keep them it must of been a fine chair in it’s time. The only part that seems worn are the arms which speaks of its nervous and perhaps pain of its clients, grabbing something to hold on to.
Looked at the gold-speculator site…..good place….I hope we can list it here.
BTW….can’t believe we’re @ 20 million?? Amazing!
I think you guys in editing and administration are doing a superb job.
All the best.—-aggie
you imagine sitting in a chair like this with a guy with a pair of pliers in his hands, asking you to open wider, as he talks about the ratio of silver price to gold price back in 1835? Makes me shudder to think of the ordeal. Equiz.
