Aguila @ 23:02 pm

Back at ya friend.

Gettin some more rain this evening. Ought to help those crops planted last week. (Phew!…if I aint worn out and tired….lol)

Got some more chickens in this week. Ducks too. And still, making ‘retirement plans’, for someplace a little warmer, and the fishing, and lobster, are a bit more easier to find.

Best to you and Superwoman this eve…..looking forward to another boat ride under the stars with you, Farmboy

Fully….& Pain

Now, dont qoute me on this…but I betcha…in 1929, there was a pretty, easy, cost effective way, to deal with pain.

cheap booze, even if ya had to brew it yourself.

There werent no FDA, or DEA….and you did not have to get a Dr.’s Prescript for pain meds. (Thinking of the orginal Coca Cola…that had the real cocaine in it).

Course, in these more advance modern times…..one is lucky to get thier hands on aspirin, without having to get ‘approval’. Course, this is all for our good….safety….(LOLOLOLOPL). Hey, if you ever get to Belize, or most any other Central American country…check out the Pharmacy stores….and what they sell without need for a doc’s prescript….and notice the ‘drug problem’ in those countries. Only American’s can be dumbed down to the point of expecting more laws, prision time….etc….to fight this ‘War on Drugs’.

If only our Elected One’s would get a personal dose of this high flying ‘morality’, and ’safety’, they wish to so quickly impose on the rest of us.

Best, to you and the orgianial ‘goldbuggertte’ this evening. Says Ole Farmboy, who wishes, the Government would get out of my business,….and keep from trying to protect me from all the ‘evils’ it conviently conjurs up. And would quit sending our ‘boys’ overseas, to die, get wounded, so the Corportate leaders/Elected ones…(kinda the same these days), can furthur thier ‘profit agenda’.

Too bad you can’t desplay them, the dental chairs. Who nows if your in practice, it will comfort the patients, thinking how worse things were in those days. Do you know how they dealt with pain then? I have a dental chair but its a little one. A man sitting in it and the dentist who pulls a tooth when you put a penny in it. It is a old toy mechanical bank. I called it the dentist, and low and behold I looked it up one day, and thats exactly what they called it. The dentist. Just a off topic but Im curious if you know what they used for pain then. A question I never asked when I had the opportunity.

Now 8:00 pm where we live. All lights are supposed to go out for

one hour, like Australia set as an example for us to conserve energy.  Lights going out everywhere I look.  Too early to go to sleep.  Maybe the managers of maternity wards better notify their staff that there might be a week or so of busy nights in their places of work about nine months from now.  Enjoy the dark for the nexy hour or so.  Equiz.

Howdy Farmboy

We’uns doin ok here thinking of you

Yep Gold is great but don’ forget food

ment17 @ 22:15 pm

Bout time you straightned up, and flew right. (Big Grin)

I hear tell, that repentence, does a soul good. ??

Dont know if even I am ‘repentant enough’ for the good church ladies and deacons….but Lord knows, if I aint trying harder these days.

Keep those ole wagons hidden in plain sight. And take care of yourself, Best, Farmboy

Just_Buy_It @ 6:24 am

Just had to say ‘Howdy’, and thank you once again for the sign on/off each day. Especially for the inspirational ‘Flying Eagles’, along with some great posts.

About those Egg Prices. Went to a Whole Foods Grocery store last week. Organic Eggs. (The only ones worth sizzling in an Iron Skillet, were selling for…get this…4.95/Doz!!) Course, one can buy those ‘fake eggs’, filled with anitbiotics and growth hormones, and a dozen other ‘ingrediants’ that promote ‘rapid growth’ and increased ‘production’, if one is a ‘Commerical Egg Grower’. (Profits mean everything….food quality is not an issue for the large egg suppliers)

And will mention one thing of interest. Have discovered its the Mexican’s in this country that is driving those ‘organic’ egg prices. Why?? They dont like the tasteless commerical version that Americans have grown used to eating. Also, in my neck of the woods, Mexicans are paying from 12-17 dollars…(a supply/demand thing) for live chickens. They are used to roasting a Sunday chicken, that taste like the good ole barnyard types they grew up on in ole Meh he co. Again, they are not catering to the almost void of any taste, of the commerical chickens.

Thanks for posting the increasing egg prices. Something we all might want to keep an eye on. Think, it is kinda tough for the govt to manipulate the egg prices. And most farmers I know, aint gonna grow, produce anything, unless we can keep our prices charged, just a little higher, than it costs to raise it. Not that most farmers ever even dream of getting rich….but they got to make a little, to keep the lights on in the chicken house. (Commerical production….keeps lights on 24/7….got to squeeze every egg they can dont ya know. )

While watching the dollar drop, oil prices go up. While watching the debacle in real estate prices. Watching the debt, both personal and National levels explode forever skyward. While pondering all those government unfunded titlement programs. And watching the credit card companies jack rates to up to 30 APR, if your late on ANY payment….while watching all these things, I cannot help but sit back, and think…..some American’s will wish they had paid more attention to Grandpa. How he raised those farm critters. How he planted his fields.

Times are bound to get more simpler, for a generation that knows more about megabytes….than growing something to eat. ??

And Im watching….waiting…for the day, when folks show up at the coin dealer, or even the grocery store, and find the shelves empty, at any price. Thats when I think things might get interesting. And I truly do believe, that day is soon coming. Six Billion PLus folks need to eat this evening. And in spite of all the modern food production…..the chore of feeding this planet, is getting tougher by the hour.

Been working my way down the posts today at the Tent. Seen where Silverfox posted some great qoutes about the Fed. Seen an old favorite by Rothshchild. Something about….he cared not who made the laws of any country/nation….long as he controlled the printing of money. I wonder…..if the future will modify that thought….to who controls, can produce, the food?? Or clean drinking water?

The times, in every way, everyday….are changin. Its not enough to even understand in simple terms that this is happening. It is time to begin to think, (actually act upon), these changes we currently face, and anticipate others…and prepare.

I paid 40 dollars last week for a gallon, single gallon, of quality extra virgin olive oil. Wont surprise me, to pay double that amount in another year or two. (Either because of the dollar printing mess, and/or…the value of olive crops becoming even more dear)

The days of ‘Plenty’, at least at cheap prices, for most things is over. Ok, ‘cept for stuff made in China. (grin). And from the news on the talk radio…..ole Congress is getting ready to place ‘Stiff Tariffs’ on those Made in China goods….just to teach them a lesson in playing fair in the money game. (Revalue the Yawn). Course, those ‘tariffs’ wont help the American Consumer none. Only raise the prices we pay for ‘cheap stuff’. But it might help pay off some of the National Debt?

All I can say, is it is probably best to know a few things, our grandfathers once knew. I think, what I heard the other day has some merit. It was the defintion of Happiness:
1) Have someone to love
2) Have something to do
3) Have hope.

And if all else fails…..its probably good to be a ‘Redneck’, and shoot a ‘tight group’, if needs be. (grin)

Seems I have had a few dreams in this life. Some have come true, or mostly so. Some…well….like ole Sam, the 50 pound bass….they got away. But pretty sure, one of my dreams is still coming true. And that dream, is that I would never be bored. (grin). Times today, are anything but boring…..and I dont see that changin much anytime soon.

Best to you this evening, Farmboy

I also have a 1929 vintage Dental Chair…

…..its in my other office….we found it in the basement a few years ago..it sat there for 60 years or so..this one has not been reconditioned….its in rough shape….Heaviest chair I ever saw though….you can really feel the pain when you sit in it….

…..come to think of it there was a lot of pain in 1929…..

Ike @2217 ISP bill

Well, this is a non-commercial, non-profit, privately owned site, open to the public. It is supported by several HOSS-DOG servers but sometimes gets a little slow. The bill gets paid but the traffic is like Interstate 5 on a two lane road… or I95 running up the coast road. Like the NewWorldOrder Route 666 runnin up from Mexico to Toronto closed down to one lane for 30 miles in Oklahoma.  And RNO takin’ pot-shots at the truckers using jake-brakes in the no-compression-brake zone coming down the hill into town

Duzzat 1835 chair come

with a steep discount to ‘regular root canal’ job?

Should………doesn’t use any ‘lectricity.

So here’s the deal.
You get paid in Getcher’z exclusive Carbon/Offset Credit certs.

Hey, and ‘nother thing.

Whose? in charge of paying the ISP bill?

They (whoever they are) keep ‘cutting ya’ off’ for SLOW or non payment?
Just some of today’s thus far unanswered ponderings.

ment .. the 1835 chair of fullys

also comes with sturups and a lightning rod. its an all purpose chair. frank zappa! LOL wj

Dusty (22:04) The 1835 setting does give some incentive, doesnt it, for

an FGC moment - but maybe we should wait awhile until FGC gives us a few additional memorable moments  to incorporate into another skit.  Those moments will be revealed by FGC to the tent over time; one just needs patience to note and record them. <g>

Wife and I went to Orlando today (actually, Winter Park, north end of Orland) to look

at a rental townhouse. We have to move from New Smyrna Beach, which we have really gotten to like a lot in the 2 years we’ve been here - but the landlord sold and it is costing us $300+ a month for the commute, so back to O’town we go.

this was a nice place (or I should say “coulda been” - place was pretty dirty and needed repainting after being rented out for 6 years to one family), 1900 sf, oversized garage, terrific community pool, mostly adults, and only 6 years old. 3 bedrooms 3 baths and only 5 minutes from my office - halleluah!! BUT - the guy would not repaint the place and it was a bit of a wreck…thought the landlord was on the obnoxious side so we told them “no”.

The realtor told us during our conversations that now he knows us and what we want, should have no problem finding us a nice place in our price range. Said that there is 2.5 years of home inventory in Orlando area. For every 100 homes for sale, only 1 contract written per month. Imagine that - only 1% of homes for sale are being sold. He said most folks still have not come to terms with the realities of the market, and when they do, house prices will plummet as will rents - anything to get cash or cash flow. Amazing. Good thing he has 2 side businesses going, or he would be dead in the water in his real estate biz. He had two contracts this week fall apart because they could not get financing through.

Methinks its getting somewhat brutal out there…and more to come, unfortunately.

Equisetum…we need another chapter with FGC and his 1835 chair
