JS/Rand — ment
“Pride is the recognition of the fact that you are your own highest value and, like all of man’s values, it has to be earned.”
Ayn Rand, Atlas Shrugged
My intuition tells me that Sinclair could be offended by this comparison. I think the quote likely applies to JS’s confidence in his own knowledge and ability concerning the gold markets but I think Rand believed it applied to her in all things. That she was the highest value, period. I think Sinclair is a spiritual person with corresponding beliefs.
But this is like one person telling another what a poem–or scripture for that matter—means. Everyone has an opinion, and mine is valuable only to me!
Good talking point anyway, particularly since I know you hold JS in high regard and are a spiritual person as well.
