Soee, TFH - volume

Agree Soee the volume is saying lack of direction. Today’s volume was lighter than yesterday for almost all the stocks I follow. Maybe just waiting to see if gold cracks. I don’t expect this to last a whole lot longer. Eventually, either the death by a thousand cuts will turn into a rout, OR we move up and out.

With regard to Hoye, he may do fantastic work and maybe he has it right.

Ment17 also has it right, we’ve seen this time and time again with gurus coming out proclaiming disaster, end of cycle etc., and time and again they get their backsides handed to them.

I don’t pretend to have a clue what it’s going to take to get this stuff moving. I’m talking about the 95% of gold stocks that have stunk for the last two years (not the 5% that have done well).

I gotta think that the 95% that have already dropped 50 - 75% are closer to a bottom than a top. Then again, nothing would surprise me when it comes to gold stocks.

“But why could’nt Walker be ment17, even if they post to each other on some other site, as ment said they do”

That’s easy because ment17 is J Sinclair,  LOL oops I mean “love a lot”.

more about those dead horses

Shares of Penoles, which was founded 120 years ago, soared more than 12 percent to a record high on the news as the wider Mexican stock exchange declined.

more beating on a dead horse

What we’ve seen so far on the merger front is only the

tip of the proverbial iceberg.

In the coming years, companies with good land positions in the world’s most prolific mineral belts will reap the rewards of their efforts at

premiums that will shock you by today’s standards.

In fact, the targeting process is happening as

ment is the fastest walker you will ever see LOL

deciding factors

//

mr monty guild says that stocks will outperform gold..

gold is ruled by the buck .. will the buck go up or down

the buck is a political animal to a GREAT DEGREE,, will the fed raise or lower rates..

earnings will be coming out in gold stocks .. will the stuff in the ground be priced at value.. as per sinclair .. will this have an effect on gold stocks..

has gold been held back by the PPT.. as also the shorts are all over the jrs and golds..

will this change .. .. how can a TA model be correct when their are fifteen models .. 20 differeent elliott wave counts .. 10 different tracks for candle sticks. mahendraq, ski, assorted make shift doers and callers ..

if if the gold is going to 1600.. by 2011.. 3 years .. one million on the table for that bet.. did any one take the opposite side .. on that.. then in three years .. say we hit 1200 hui..

where is the dead money . tacos here for the bet.. soee ran from the last gold oz bet.. he tapped danced with those great odds ..lol..

the important number is the return total .. on the taw.. the enchilada pulled off the table when the dealings done .. as ment slinks away unnoticed .keeping his own council . while others argue over hoye

Great idea a new poll would help settle some issues for sure .

Let the tent speak.

Isn’t it time for a new poll?…something simple and to the point…

Who’s right…Hoye or Sinclair?…or better yet…soee or ment?

Goes to the soul of recent disagreements…just for the fun of it.

GoldenMaples (22:10) I will put my faith in Sinclair and in Seattle Stalker/Wenatchee Walker, the latter pair sometimes called ment. {giggle}

TQ @ 21:52 pm on April 11

So TQ did you sell at 240 and buy back at 170 .. when did you buy before the run to 240.. and what was holding period. //

did you sell some into strength .. buy some in weakness…. what is your basis in gold coin. silver coin do you look at the whole as part of basket ..

so their are many factors to consider .. if the holding period was less than a year in the run up to 240..

lets do some math .. say a person had bought hui at 120 100.000 grand …it ran to 240 a double … hit right at 240 for a clean sell .. short term .. 35 percent tax .. 100,000 gain tax 35 grand 165,000 in the pot..

the person who did not sell .. at 240.. but held .. hui goes to 170.. down 30 grand .170 . in the pot for next run run ..

did you buy at 170???.. but the no sell person was in at the very bottom with an extra 5 grand ..

so in every case a person has to evaluate the situation to make the proper decision.

and in that same context ,other stocks not in the hui index were doing better.. and did not reflect a 30% fade back.. not a loss.. as no sell was applied..

the context of the whole move .. is the deciding factor in my humble opinion.. and if the pot satisfys the potter then a thumbs up.. to what ever the move ..

Who to put faith in ?

Bob Hoye or Jim Sinclair, I think I will follow Sinclair!

strikerrod re your post @ 21:39 pm on April 11, 2008

I too was surprised that no one has taken issue point by point with Bob Hoye.  But then the weekend is still young.

BTW I can’t find the Hoye article at GE.

Cheers, TQ

ment17; I know it seems pointless to write about the risk.

Especially in light of the fact that my January and February 2004 posts about the developing Double Top at that time at GE were basically politely ignored.  Some contested them gently.  And those who understood were able to make a good exit near 240, and buy back under 170.

I think that this offers a similar opportunity.  And I think that again, few will understand.
