I am just playing catch-up on the posts at the tent. With all of the decietful lying missinformation we are being spoon fed on a daily basis it is hard to keep one’s sanity. But when reading that artical, I about fell out of my chair laughing when I read this sentence…….

“If we had a financial crash and everyone pretended not to notice would it still have happened?”

A good laugh is good for the soul.

Yes, Vote. I just got a absentee ballot for greedy Calif. on proposition that wants to stop the state from taking personal property from people buy condeming it and then able to keep it themselves for personal use. While the rent control, if they do it. One I will vote for cuz their trying to raise the rent on mobile parks ect. for retirees so they can use the land for condos giving them no where to go, some are only able to eat one meal a day, some are selling personal belongings cuz the rents going so high, very sad, maybe just a example of things to come.

New poll…….

Easy! A “no-brainer”, imo.

10-20% over the last 12 months.

Fully, 20:41, a few quotes from an article by Fred Sheehan, from Whiskey and Gunpowder:

It is said that artists speak for the ages. In 1951, Pablo Picasso described the end of our age when interviewed by Giovanni Papini: “From the moment that art ceases to be the nourishment of the best brains, the artist can use all the tricks of the intellectual charlatan. The refined people, the rich ones and the professional layabouts, only want what is sensational or scandalous in modern art. And since the days of cubism I have fed these boys what they wanted and pacified the critics with all the idiotic ideas that went through my head. Whilst I amused myself with all these pranks, I became famous and very rich. I am just a public clown, a fairground barker.”

On February 21, 2008, the Financial Times published the confession of Han de Jong, Chief Economist, ABN Amro Bank: “I am obviously biased, but I find it sad to conclude that the role of serious economists in financial institutions is very limited today. We are little more than clowns, whose purpose is to entertain clients…”

Alan Greenspan was one of the first to climb the greasy poll of superficiality. He knew this path to the top did not include the study of economics.

In 2004, John Kenneth Galbraith described the Federal Reserve’s painless decisions made “in a pleasant, unobtrusive building in the nation’s capital” as not of “the real world but to that of hope and imagination. Here our most implausible and most cherished escape from reality” is led by “an informed, confident and respected figure of no slight theatrical talent.”

Mr. Norton is causing me problems. Internet thing. About smoked salmon, your going to one of the best places to get it, fresh from the sea thats less poluted too. Wowa, my computer is really acting up or someone just slipped be a drug at lunch. Never mind, waisted time to explain except hope I have board members email just in case.

There is a site called www.justsmokedsalmon.com that will give you recipes on that.

Heres a double chocolate fudge brownie recipie, if you have the time before travel, or you could just go to a good pastry shop like guys go to the fish shop after a fishing trip and didn’t catch anything, can you believe it lol.

6oz. (3/4 cup) unsalted butter, cut into six pieces, more for the pan.   2 oz. (2/3 cup) unsweetened cocoa powder(natural or dutch-processed).

1 2/3 cups sugar, 1/4 tsp. salt, 2 large eggs, 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract, 4 1/2 oz (1 cup) unbleached all-purpose flour

1/4 lb very coarsely chopped semisweet or bittersweet chocolate( 3/4 cup).

2 oz (1/2 cup) coarsely chopped walnuts or pecans optional.

Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Off the heat add the cocoa. Whisk till smoth. Add the sugar and salt until blended. Add one egg and whisk till blended. Whisk in the valilla and second egg. Sprinkle flour over mixture and blend with rubber spatula just till blended. Add chopped chocolate and stir until combined. Spread the mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Scatter the nuts evenly over the batter if using…..If using a metal pan edges will be flat texture will be even. If using a pyrex baking dish, your brownies will have a puffier, drier edges, but will be easier to get out of the pan.. Position rack in middle of oven and heat to 350 F Gen. butter bottom and sides of pan.

Bake till toothpick in center of brownies comes out in gooey clumps, 33 to 38 minutes.. Don’t over bake or brownies won’t be fudgy. Transfer to rack and let cool completely. Run knife around edges and then pry it from pan in one piece. Using a sharp knife..cooler brownies cleaner cut will be, cut

Thanks Mr. Fullgoldcrown ..

Have a great Weekend >>>>>>>>>>>>>>

We Can’t Handle the Truth
Paul Volcker was providing testimony to Congress this morning, and it was being covered by Bloomberg television.

Volcker started to ‘tell it like it is’ and basically laid out the situation in plain and simple terms. We wish we had recorded it.

To paraphrase, the mathematicians took over with opaque and complex models. The regulators failed. We had a system fueled by high compensation. They did not care what they created as long as they could sell it to someone else.

It was really starting to get interesting, and then… Bloomberg television cut away so that Betty Liu could tell us how well the stock market was doing, and they never came back.

CNBC was not covering Volcker’s testimony. Neither were the C-Spans. CNN? Forget about it.

A friend who was traveling in Europe the past two weeks emailed with the news that ‘things are much worse over there and talk of the financial crisis is all over the front pages and people are talking about it.” We are in much better shape because no one is talking about it here.

If we had a financial crash and everyone pretended not to notice would it still have happened? We think there are some central planners in the States that would give a resounding ‘No.’

The Consumer Price Index number this morning was a complete fabrication, a farce.

Its time to start noticing, time to stop going with the flow. The flow is heading into madness.

All we have found so far is this brief mention. We will look for a transcript, and a video excerpt. This is pathetic, astounding. The lack of coverage at this time of crisis for the testimony of an economist like Paul Volcker to Congress is …. ominous.
