It was pretty awesome. One of my favorite collections was from an old miner that had collected various nuggets…some parts of the collection were rare artifacts that will likely not be seen for some time to come. Sorry..no pictures allowed, which I was bummed about. Newmont had some nuggets that were mind blowing- If I were the miner that found those I would have been psyched.

one other interesting note is that we saw one of the only Gold bullion bars left from the California Gold Rush. It was spectacular. That was the bar with the value stamped $17,xxx.xx. Just think the movement today alone in the market was about equal to the value of Gold per ounce back in the late 1800’s. I wonder if in another hundred years if Gold’s price will be fluxating by $925 in a day?
