The historical ratio is 16:1 gold:silver. In recent years that ratio is out of whack. Will it return? dunno. But there is less silver above ground than there is gold. Seems that should count for something. Here is the current price ratio

I don’t know which one is better to buy. I know silver went from 5 to 20 aprox, 4x, and gold went from 250 to 1000, 4x, silver and gold seem about even as far a profits. The physical silver is still selling at 4x aprox. way over spot but gold is not. But if or when inflation takes its toll. people will probably think 1500 gold to even 2000 is cheap. All speculation of course. I guess how much mining vs, demand there is of each, aside from speculation on non producing stocks will tell. Silver will be cheaper to buy so Im sure more people in general will buy. But in places like India, esp. at end of yr wedding partys many countries like this need gold for the weddings. Silver is being used more and more too, and gold follows silver. Am I confusing you yet?

Plan to do the face to face next month., prepared to open account depending on interests of the object party. Confess I don’t have to have it, so may tend to decline more readily than others.A lot depends on real services available, not those maybes at Tots. Move slowly, ask plenty, read the eyes and then consult JoBu (who has really failed me on some of there PM stocks of late-give him best rum, Dominican cigars, maybe laughing at me behind back) Never forget, if you get robbed, who you going to complain too? Be suspicius of all banking institution, even if dealing with very amiable representatives who take your silver.
Doing these transactions long distance is definitely less preferable to face to face as AUGirl says. I will report impressions..but not on forum..by secure phone if anyone is interested.

I scanned part of a news paper, not a big news paper reader the other day something caught my eye made me so mad I didn’t finish it. Looks like internet servers are up to price spikes. At&t was the one I think. It was saying that some only use the internet to check their emails and such and others are on for longer periods. So they are going to slow down something..bandwith? during high user times..as punishment??And hinting to a price hike to those who use the internet longer than others. Well I think we pay a price to use the internet..as long as we want..if people don’t hardly use it, why don’t they just charge them less, not us more, ..well people like us who watch stocks..and hang around the tent lol more. I see it as just an excuse.

$25 costs. Easy to do, takes a few days for paperwork and for the funds to cash out and move. Maybe a week or so.
Once in an IRA, if you set it up right with right company, you can buy whatever you want - stocks, whatever, including gold and silver. Otherwise, you can indeed cash in and only pay your current income tax rate in taxes.

At 59.5 you can withdraw allyour money out without paying a penalty. Youm just have to pay the taxes .I can still stay in the 401k after withdrawing all my money out my company matches my contribution dollar for dollar.I want to buy more bullion just have to figure if gold or silver is the better buy.

Sleep deprivation has its own health risks including memory and auto accidents.

If your 401k will let you, you can roll it to a savings plan and draw intrest on it with in the 401k selections, other wise u can roll it to IRA, but 401k gives you more protection than a IRA, say if you filed bankrupt. You can also buy gold and keep it under a IRA. but Id take posetion of the physical if you can. Don’t know what the limit is but theyll zap you..age limit for withdrawl at the moment..theyll take a chunk, but if u roll it to a ira and keep the reciepts they will refund you that money next tax season. Hope that helps.

Since Iam 60 and my 401k is going nowhere Iam going to withdraw it all out. Ihave a small basket of stocks 1 holding its own the rest all going down, I have a stash of silver but no gold. The question is do I buy more silver or do I buy gold.
