Mexico Mike on a GATA supporter and on the way it is…
Hi Bill!
Paramount Gold and Silver is one of the juniors that has been steadily reporting new exploration success and building a large silver resource in Mexico, yet it has seen its share price slide like many others.
However over the last week or so it has begun to make gains on higher volume and today they announced a deal with Garibaldi Resources to acquire more property area in close proximity to their flagship holdings. I own shares of both companies, and I think this is a win-win deal. But more importantly, my investment strategy has been to buy the hell out of all the juniors that are achieving success yet have declining share prices. This kind of divergence cannot go on forever, and something has to give. I think it will be resolved to the upside. Gold and silver production has not risen to keep pace with the higher metals prices, and most of the larger producers are not replacing the reserves they have mined. Big deposits with favorable economics are only going to become more attractive the longer this goes on.
Unless people believe that the metals have topped and will begin a long term downtrend, it is about the easiest decision to make to load up on all these cheap juniors right now. Sure, we may have to wait a while to get paid off, and there could be lower lows ahead before the stocks resume a bull market uptrend. But that uptrend is coming and before you can sell high, you have to buy low.
Credit the management of Paramount to stay focused and reward shareholders with the rising asset value of the gold and silver in the ground that they have proven up. And its a feather in the hat to be able to look down the road and acquire new property area so the pipeline is full for the next phase. But credit should also go out to the shareholders that have the guts to recognize value and hold on to this company even while the market has been difficult and so many others are getting shaken loose from their holdings.
Never let a bear market tell you what a company is worth. If you know what you invest in, and you have patience, the real value of the juniors will eventually get priced in, and the companies that have been successful to prove up large deposits will be awarded a premium, as they should be. There was a lot of groaning and whining at the Vancouver Show last weekend, but the truth is that a bear market phase in a long term bull market is a gift. It provides the opportunity to buy the best companies at rock bottom prices before the next big move higher. We should all be happy and confident, yet so rarely do people seize that chance to really make money. Paramount has begun rising on strong volume, so maybe the bottom is in. I do not lose any sleep at night worrying about it.
I cannot tell you when the recovery is going to happen, but I can say with confidence that we are going to see a bull market for the juniors in spades, before all this is over. The people who were buying now at the bottom will look very smart when that time comes. And the sellers will probably do what losers usually do in that situation: they will tell their friends they could have made a million dollars if they just held onto that stock they owned, blah..blah…blah…
cheers!

UP 13% in 30 MINUTES—IT CAN HAPPEN QUICK
BILL:
IT CAN HAPPEN QUICK. COER` DE LENE MINES was $2.85 per share with 30 minutes until the close. In the next 30 minutes it EXPLODED. It closed at $3.25 up 33 cents for the day. I would urge the people who continue to give their precious metals shares away on every downtick to realize how potentially EXPLOSIVE these shares are. I beleive today`s EXPLOSIVE finish in CDE is the prelude to what is about to happen SOON. ——Howie Katchen—-Marina Del Rey, Ca.
