newtogold (23:19) Thanks. Your explanation is noted and understood. And I agree with the open-minded doubts and reservations you expressed there. Best wishes. Equiz.

You are correct in the sense that I did not specify that “global warming” is not a man made phenomenon IMHO. I believe that the normal fluctuations will continue with or without our help. What causes these fluctuations, be it sunspots or active volcanic activity, or concepts beyond our understanding, I say that the evidence presented by the “majority” of the scientists is flawed. Lastly, I am not saying that there is no melting of ice or that temperatures are not rising. I reiterate my point that it is not man made IMHO. The possibility remains that people play a small role in exacerbating this situation, but until concrete proof is made available, it is just one more of the cabal’s “side shows” as far as I am concerned.

Global warming

Well I know Calif. is warming, it’s hot here and lighting fires all over the place causing brown air but keeps more heat off the roofs. Even the pro”s  have speculated on global warming have been wrong at times. There is always warming after comming out of an ice age. Some speculating via charts we are heading to another ice age, but the time in the charts are not defined. Is that a few yrs away, 100, 1000, 10,000…

newtogold, your comment at 18:18 that “the concept of global warming is just one more

diversion for the masses”  is precisely the kind of viewpoint  that I was referring to in my 18:12 posting to Deadeye, Ferrett and 2_Point., based on my original posting today at 14:21 about new reports of global warming.   In the note at 18:12  I called what you just said at 18:18  a viewpoint with blinkers on.  I say that because you imply by your words that you are closing your eyes to reality if you think that global warming is just a “concept”.  Dont you accept that there is a long term warming trend for the multi-year ice to melt away from the Arctic Ocean?  Do you believe  that the melting sea-ice and melting ground ice (permafrost) are just “concepts”?

Now if you had said at 18:18 that “the concept that global warming is caused by human activities is one more diversion for the masses” I would have had some respect for what you said.

I accept if you find it difficult to comprehend this distinction, because you have a lot of company amongst “the masses”.  Cheers.  Equiz.

Agree on GSS newtogold

This news was knowledge two days ago. There was absolutely no rush for them to make this press release. It smells to me as if they are trying to get shares cheap for someone else.

These guys are questionable without a doubt. The bad news bears. They surely hurt my portfolio’s performance today.

gold futures

if gold gaps up monday and the gap is not filled during the week, the weekly chart would look extremely bullish. few gaps appear on a weekly chart and it usually takes many months to fill them. many trends are changed or accelerated during the week of a major holiday. look for fireworks in the financial areas as well next week.

GSS and Red Back

GSS down 23% and Red Back down 2%. Both had the same bad news. Whatssup? I hate GSS!. Let them come back to $3.00 or $3.10 and they are gone from my portfolio.  Don’t care how much potential they’ve got. I heard management sold off heavily before announcement. Just a bunch of crooks.

Silver rider - Global Warming - I think I posted this back in Feb

The Canadian Research Council has been concerned about the lack of Sunspot activity…. we could have global cooling coming….

www.popularmechanics.com/science/earth/4248062.html

Every day, scientists hoping to see an increase in solar activity train their instruments at the sun as it crosses the sky. This is no idle academic pursuit: A lull in solar action could potentially drive the planet’s temperature down, or even prompt a mini Ice Age.

For millennia, thermonuclear forces inside the star have followed a regular rhythm, causing its magnetic field to peak and ebb, on average, every 11 years. Space weathermen are watching for telltale increases in sunspots, which would signal the start of a new cycle, predicted to have started last March and expected to peak in 2012. “When the sun’s active, it’s a little bit brighter,” explains Ken Tapping, a solar researcher and project director for Canada’s National Research Council. So far, Tapping reports no change in the magnetic field strength, as measured by radio telescopes. On the more positive side, last month…..

“Gore-Bull Worming”

Add me to your list as agreeing…   and then there were five.

Deadeye

I couldn’t have said it better myself. You’ve got the 100% right perspective in my book. The concept of global warming is just one more diversion for the masses to worry about instead of the real issues, a long line of crap produced  by the cabal to keep us off track.

Globull warming?

Jack sparrow says yea, it was hot today. Hard to believe that was self induced
