Been more off, than on these pages the past couple months.
Had to ‘attend’ to some personal, and home problems. LIfe can be like that some days. (grin)
Felt compelled this evening to make a few statements. Dont mean I am right, or anything.
Silver….Gold….a man’s best friend. (Apologize to my dog. ) (grin)
Silver/Gold……and a bank account somewhere outside the US of A .
A little land….outside the USA not a bad idea. (See Irish if confused by this one)
Times….they are changin. Seems Bear Sterans…..is but the beginning of )
Seems, come November…..Obama or McCain…..but two different choices with similar results. ??
Seems the dollar…..has no choice but to be leveraged lower. Seems Asia, China….control the purse strings….if not Arabia. ?? Seems……one only seek means of ‘Value’, if not self perserence, to know how/why/when….to protect self/family. Sees at least that is enough to know/understand. Borders? Alleginence? ………Seems means less these days.
Some say…’Think outside the box’. Some may indeed wish to think…’Outside the Borders’.
For the ‘older ones’ amongst us……I say…..’Think’, not so much in your own terms/survival, but what one can do for thier children, and grandchildren. Think more in those terms. Think, in terms of ‘Legacy”.
Think in terms….beyond self.

I even had a Mint strike me a special run of silver rounds from a set of dies that I particularily liked but were sold out and unavailable. It only took an order of 2,000 back then when things were slow at all the Mints. All double struck and extra nice. Deadeye

Fortuante for me, I dont have to farm for a living. Meaning profits, and yields mean little to the bottom line for me. Thus, more organic, traditional means, appeals most to this ‘hobby farm’. I have no doubt, whatsoever, if I was trying to grow food crops for ‘profit’ over more traditional values of foods with minerals. I do not have those pressures.
Dont like genetic engineered seeds, no way….no how. Perhaps I am wrong. Perhaps, I loose more in production…by not purchasing such seeds, such methods. Hey! Ok by me. What I do grow is nutritional, even if yield is lower. Like I said, profit is not the bottom line for this operation. Sustainabiltiy, food with organic orgians, food with minerals intact….is what I seek.
Call me stubborn. Call me fool. Nature’s way has a proven track record of hundreds, if not thousands of years. Seems to me, one would have to be fool, to tamper with such a record?
Dont mean my thinking is right. No Sir. Seems, there are 6 Billion folks to ‘feed’ on this planet. Seems, the figure I see of farmers, land…..to do this is shrinking. Perhaps ….the best solution is to put our arms around genetic tampering, and more ‘modern agriculture’ techiques. After all, 6 billion goind on 7 Billion……??? Profits or not, I think I shall stay the course. But then, I do NOT have to answer to any Board of Directors, or Shareholders….seeking primarlary ‘profits’.
I do think. That in time….more and more folks around the world. Will seek for, search for, look for….how our ancestors did things. How they grew things. Things that were safe to eat,……items that provided additional nurishment. Seems to me, the old ways, will once again become the new ways,….at least to those who know, depend on…..nature’s ways. ??
Dont know. Could be wrong…..wont be the first time I ever been wrong. (smile). But kinda figure, there is a growing number of folks….that know/understand, value. Be it Precious Metals, or the food they place on the family table. ??

believe that “unlimited” pieces of fiat paper created out of thin air on a computer can gain in value and my beautiful, solid, shinny, heavy, historic Gold will go down in value compared to that Damn paper - I can not believe it and frankly to me it never will - no one will ever buy or trade that paper for my gold even at the point of a gun or dire threats.
I will not try to convince anyone but that is how it is with me. It simply does not matter what someone in London or Washington or Wall Street or some damn Bullion Bank says my gold is worth in fiat paper dollars now or ever - Paper can not buy my gold from me or my heirs as long as my influence lasts. Housing looked the same until a year ago. Oil eclipses Au/Ag as an investment choice from 1999 onwards, having gone up 14 or 15 times from its low compared to gold’s pathetic quadrupling.
It is the future that I am interested in.
I don’t know what you call it but just a few short years ago I could buy all the Silver I wanted for 5 bucks and ounce Gold for 400. Looks up left to right to me but I am a simple man.
If we have straightforward inflation, then gold is the hedge par excellence. If we had pure deflation, you would probably be better off with fiat dollars than gold, as their purchasing power would be increasing. With the current mix, it is relevant to gold and silver which predominates, or whether we get stuck with stagflation, is it not? Is it possible that huge debt repudiation could lead to such scarcity of FRNs that even consumer prices could fall, in spite of the best efforts of the Fed?
By all means should you try to alert people. Some of us have been doing it for so long that we have completed the task. To continue the campaign further will be counterproductive. All know where I stand and what I expect (well, not entirely, I still want to retain some credibility!) and most of the preparations I have put in place. But I still do not know what will happen, hence the attempt at debate.
One thing that I haven’t commented on and would like to, is the decision the Supreme Court made last week concerning the 2nd amendment. I fully expected it to go the other way. I think it was a great victory for freedon loving Americans. Five to Four was VERY close, it could have went the other way so easily. Personally, I think the issue is so plane the decision should have been 9 to0. That just goes to show how pervasive the attitude of citizen control is in this country. But we did win one battle!!

You know…..and this aint right, cause most everyone here wont know about a phone call we shared one weekend. But, I think back, reflect, on the pleasure I had to shout out at a few of those goldbugs holding a gathering one weekend, on a cool Oct evening. I remember the voices on the phone. The excitement….and remember thinking…..if Only, the Ga meeting and the Colorado Meeting….could have been in the same place, same time. I remember raising a toast to you and that bunch…..and the toast continues this very evening. Best to all of you. Now and always.

Wonder, cant help but….think in terms of tomatoes for example….seems those from ‘Mexico’ are poision? The more I watch….read….cant help but wonder if from here out, things, things of real value….things we really need, wont be thought in different ways. Thought of in terms of what truly is value

Cant help but ponder the question, of what is really Real? What has value? Substance? What things might make the most difference…in the weeks, months, and years yet to come. Cannot help but wonder….if past means of measuring ‘Wealth’, will be replaced not with the ‘value’ of some retirement program’ or even a ‘401K’, but in much greater, SIMPLER’ terms. Like….hey neighbor, ya got some food to eat this week? Can you AFFORD to eat this week?
Seems, all in all, things are bound to get more interesting, as we watch the current fiat experiment truddle along. Must tell you, somedays, the best it gets around the farm, is enjoying the view of a few acres of poorly looking crops, and some new pear trees planted this year.
