FLgold/ Wanka/ FGC……..One comment you might wish to consider….

I don’t know what can be done to remedy it, but somebody may have an idea.  I have always thought that using “tiny urls” is the way to go, but there is one weakness that comes with them after some time.  After a period of time the links no longer work.  In most cases that might not be a problem, but 2 point has been posting some links to Gann material that are “timeless.”  Thus, it is conceivable that some large faction of readers might try to access the links in a year, two years, or even longer from now.

I am not sure is such timeless material as the Gann material can be copied and transferred in an “original state” to some other venue on the site like IMBD or some other corner for safe keeping with directions to it on the sidebar, but you might want to consider something like that.  I don’t think that directions to only post the material on IMBD would be preferable if a decent size set of readers want to access any new material in the thread that is posted…………..but, then again, maybe I am wrong on that thought.

i just logged on after a day of rest from my journey and seen your posts and floridagold’s response and commend floridagold for his caring. i also ask you to use the ‘tiny’ if the link causes distortion of the theme which i have seen many time on various poster’s posts. i really think your ‘tenor’ to floridagold deserves an appology. hope you realize this. cheers. wj

White Mountains NH

Winedoc here…..just returning with the family from a fantastic vacation to North Conway and area in the beautiful White Mountains. We stayed at Stonehurst Manor which I would highly recommend for a quiet bed and breakfast retreat. We had meals included which were superb and a view of Cathedral Rock across Mount Washington Valley.

Glad to be back home in Nova Scotia just the same.

What a wild week in the markets.

I wish all my American friends a happy 4th of July Holiday.

PS: Winedoc still likes uranium, spot price up $2 bucks

See you guys in the morning for coffee and conversation!!

I agree. The Us has had methodical, grinding and hidden

inflation for decades. It has been masked the last 30 years

with “Globalization” and less expensive imports. $10 Mr.

Coffees and cheaper lawn furiture from WalMart et al offset

the price increases in other nesessary basics that only could be

bought close to home like med care, food, gas and such.

Along with dollar/credit induced inflation, other hidden sources

of tax/inflation have been at work. Sure, food (before) didn’t

seem to be going up but ever notice all the taxes and fees on

your phone bill? Hidden taxes or an increase in the money

supply, it doesn’t matter. Your paycheck buys less and has

for years. They get the money one way or another.

Why does our importing of goods from China and other

countries cause inflation there? Some recent articles show

higher rates of inflation in other countries.  Currency pegs

and double dipping. In exchange for the US dollars a China

Manufacturer gets from the US for goods, the BOC prints

new Yuan for the manufacturer to pay bills with. The Yuan

gets inflated and the BOC keeps the US Dollars. If they

bought Yuan on the market, it would drive it up and their

exports wouldn’t be so cheap. Think of how many other

countries could be doing this and inflicting their population

with inflation. The CB’s might moan about the countries

inflation but they are the ones benefiting as usual.

I edit the ones that I see which cause a problem on my screen.  I do not get them all because I do not SEE them all and I have spent less time on the site in the last month or so that I use to do.  If you have a problem with that, I am sorry HOWEVER, I will continue to fix links (yours or anyone elses) that distort the page and cause hugh blank areas in the list of posts.  If you don’t want your posts edited to fix the extremely long URL’s - then use www.tinyurl.com and do it yourself before posting it.  You are not being singled out - I fix those I see.  If I don’t see it - then I don’t fix it!  Enough said!

re: ” I edited your “link” that was so wide that it distorted the entire page even on my full screen. “

then edit all the posts that cause such to occur

or

edit NONE

floridagold @ 21:03 pm on July 3, 2008

fine

YOU .. appear to have done a proper edit Job ….

there are cases ( however ) where WhoEver did the Edit Task

actually Screwed up The entire Post ….

Further … there appears to be ” only selective editing ” of such too long links ……………

2_point @ 20:52 pm

I edited your “link” that was so wide that it distorted the entire page even on my full screen.  I made your link into a “tinyurl” - which you should have done and I will continue to fix those as I see them on yours or anyone elses post.  It did not change the link in your post and nothing else was changed.

… QUIT .. editing my POSTs

.

OTHERWISE .. EDIT ALL THE OTHER POSTS TOO

.
