Today a bag of junk silver would have cost you roughly 11-12 times the face value of the coins within, depending on your dealer, and perhaps shipping costs if they apply.  These are the very same coins that you used to spend on candy and soda and stuff when you were a kid (assuming a certain age, and I am).  But you’re the sort of person who pays attention and tries to understand what’s going on in the world and what you can do to protect yourself, and you think you’re pretty smart to be stockpiling some of those coins for the time when paper becomes worthless… or at least worth enough less than those coins which are suddenly  worth a lot more (ask any of the fortunate Zimbabweans who happened to find a jar or two of the silver coins that used to be in circulation, and didn’t get spent as inflation was heating up).

And I believe it is smart to stockpile those coins, but it’s a pretty sorry state of affairs  when a smart investment is nothing more than re-buying the money you used as a kid, paying 11 or 12 times what it says right there on the coin (the one you put in the coke machine), and feeling like you just made out like a bandit.  Especially when a bag of that stuff is so heavy ( I wouldn’t know… just what I’ve heard…).

….This is certainly one of the toughest tests of resolve yet for us Permabull Bugs….

…..and that by no means includes everybody here…..buy Most

…..Its beyond the charts Incredible that in an enviornment where Billions ( Trillions even ) of Dollars Yen Euros et al are being created every day….That Gold can remain controlled !

…..and Controlled is too mild a term to use for the Gold Stock Universe….

……Personally…I am more frustrated than at any time I can remember in this Perverse Gold Market…

BUT

……Lets face it these Guys we call Cretins are good…..

…..they create Phoney balloney ETFs..to divert $ from the traditional leverage of the Gold Share market
….they encourage naked shorting
…..they borrow our own shares and “legally” short against us
……they play untold games behind the scenes that I’m sure we are not even aware of

…….From the Poll…its obvious that all but a savy few of us are loosing ground in the last 12 months

……..But we have had a good 12 Months in Physical

STOCKS

……..Using The last Bug Sqashing Wipeout of August 15th Last Year as a reference point….consider what happened to the HUI……

…..HUI went from 285 inter day August 15 to 520 on March 14th……a 7 month gain of about 80%
……My PF was up about 50% in the same period…

……NICE GAINS eh !….I’m a friggen Genius !

…..But hold on there Mr Genius….I held as HUI dropped from 520 to 355 presently..Down 32% from the glory days..

..while my PF is down 25% from the last August wipe out lows..!

..but get this..HUI is still 25% Above the last August Lows……

….You cant make this stuff up…its extremely frustrating for those of us comitted to Junior Stocks..

…..However the Physica Part of our Holdings is doing OK….to say the least

Gold

….$650 on August 15 07 to $880 now….thats 35% up on the year

…..But from bottom to top $650 to $1030 in that 7 month run from August 15 to March 14…60%

….and now in he last 5 months we have “corrected” to 880 …down 15% only…

Questions

….Will we put in another Low Next Friday..the 1 year aniversary of the Last Gold Bug Armegeddon ?

….Did we see the Low Today ?

….What if anything will stop the bleeding in the Juniors ?

…..when will we see 10 baggers again ?

Aguila no matter where we go from here..i bet you will sleep better out of the paper games..
