So you are saying shred them if I didn’t lose money. Today was Royal Dutch Petroleum. I mean in those days I was a trader. On one of the Royal Dutches I bought and sold the next day. Housecleaning. Well you might not like my work. I put the tall bottles in the cupboard on the back - arrange spices alphabetically. When my wife goes away for a week or two and comes back - well what can I say?

My daughter lived with a roommate from Belize and from that I know a bit and would move there even knowing what I do - but see above.

Suppose I think a stock is going down. Why should I have to own it or borrow it to bet against it? Just a theoretical question - I seldom short. Look at it another way - I bought Prudent Bear for a long time - too long - but they shorted. Were those naked?

You can help me here. Well no I just want to rant. It seems darn near every stock I ever owned in the early 2000’s is involved in litigation. I get endless paperwork - you have to have the i’s dotted and written in Greek. Of course I could shred them all - but really my time is only worth $5 an hour - so I bite.

I never get any money because I never lost money on the trades - or very little and often made money.

that is what shorting is all about. borrowed shares and selling them on spec win or loose..nothing wrong with that but….’naked’ shorting is counterfieting shares that simply do not exist and that really screws the game. naked shorters should be drawn and quartered burnt at the stake and then off with thier wj

One more thing for when we continue our fundamental debate - you believe the US dollar or other currencies rising or falling drives gold. Putting words into your mouth - but those are the only (main) driver. I want to hear your ideas on why that is or must be. Please. A debate here would be fun. And you can think about it and I will too (trust me on that) and we will discuss it when you have time.
