Take a step back and look at the big picture…if this wasn’t happening the corrupt system would simply go on and on and on. At the risk of being flamed by some, I see this as a cleansing of all that has been wrong in the financial world, akin to an infected wound from which the toxins must be flushed so that health may once again prevail. What is good and true can never be destroyed. Be at peace.

But, I guess that is better than 1932, where it took almost 25 years to get back to even…..
I have to crap on the “Buy and Hold” financial planner guys….I’ve told them this…. Buy and hold only works for a very limited select group of generations…..look if pre-1929 you were told to invest and buy and hold….it would have taken 30 years to get back to even…
my Dad was convinced in the 60’s to put all his money in these new things called mutual funds…buy and hold….well the markets from 1964 to 1982 went absolutely nowhere, he gained nothing, in fact, some were down after 20 years….He was so furious
Now look at the markets from 1998 to now…10 years and natta, no gain, and there may be more pain…..I feel I am experiencing the same as my dad, only worse….He had a defined pension, I don’t…mine is disappearing..
Hmmmm, do the markets wallow around for another 10 years???
