Yep, Tent goldbugs are great, all straight shooters and perceptive.  Way ahead of the crowd IMO.

It is great to get together is it not. There are few meetings in the world that can equal one of our gatherings…

Downunder get-together 1 Nov.

LP was a fantastic host and the bugs and their partners were a revelation, nobody remotely the same and more importantly I can now put faces to on-screen personas!

I must say I enjoyed myself no end and do remember seeing 1:30am on my watch but nothing thereafter!!

The fascinating thing to me was we talked mostly of the social implications of the present situation and what each may be doing about it, how to move forward.  All quite positive and absolutely no despondency in anybody.

I hope LP posts some photos…hhhhmmm, maybe not…hahahaha

CONGRATS LP and thanks again for a wonderful time.

Chuck Baldwin

Just a reminder that if you are fed up with the two party system, there are alternatives on the ballot.  Chuck Baldwin was endorsed by Ron Paul and I am voting for him.  He is on the ballot in 37 states.  I know he doesn’t have a chance but I doubt that I will ever again vote for either a republican or democrat.  They are both controlled by the same people.  They may declare opposite the other party to get elected but no matter who gets elected you get the same results.

Did you get moved to Colorado?

Equiz………excellently provocative Post

Fullgoldcrown, at 16:26 you asked for someone to say something profound or

maybe even something mundane, since not many people today seemed to be saying much at all on Goldtent.

You did not ask for something provocative, but would you be interested in trying this on for size on a late Sunday before the new trading week begins in a new month:  the idea that the price of gold is “all in the dollar” is a motto that is losing its shine.

In my opinion, the value of the US dollar, as expressed in the US dollar index is soon to be shaken to its roots, partly because the US dollar index will itself become a non-representative and irrelevant index, compared to the new economic forces that are mustering strength outside of the U.S./European/British Commonwealth group of former elites.    When products like oil and gold cease to be recorded internationally in terms of a US dollar price, things will change drastically, in my opinion.

Russia, some parts of Asia, and the parts of the world where a gold-backed Dinar will give some clout to Muslim interests in world trade and world currency markets , will soon in my opinion disrupt the comfortable and formerly predictable idea that the price of gold will obediently change in an inverse pattern to the value of the US dollar index.  I think that instead we will soon see a global economy in which energy-producing  and energy-exporting political entities, together with political entities who have the will and the ability to start backing their own currency with precious metals, are going to utterly shatter the up-to-now mantra that the price of gold is “all in the dollar”.  I think the price of gold is going to eventually control much more of global finance than we can now visualize, and in a way that doesnt care one bit what is the assumed value of the US dollar or, more importanly, what is the US dollar price of an ounce of gold.

Just some opinions on this Sunday evening.  Cheers, all holders of physical gold, as I think you are going to be the winners.  Equiz.

More “change we can believe in”-destruction of an entire industry…

Hope nobody has Peabody, or any other coal stocks.

Claptona - don’t worry

Obama will win in a landslide - he is the annointed one.

I believe the pawn shop owner meant that fully automatic weapons are no longer made for public consumption - not semi-autos.

Depending on the state, even fully automatic weapons can be purchased by private individuals - but they are only the ones that are currently in circulation and are quite expensive. State laws vary dramatically on the issue.

Ya, Crazy Canucks. One of my buddies has a cottage on Ingonish Beach and this was the only weekend available to get the guys together. We had a spectacular time, exercise, food, wine and good company. Cribbage tournament went to 3 am. As a result, laying kind of low tonight, but glad to be home with the family. The drive back in the car was a little slushy. Its depressing when winter comes early. Maybe we’ll get a rally in the precious metals to lift my spirits.

Best to Mme Crowne
