So much for the COMEX short squeeze

this is the third time during delivery, that i have explained this…you can rest assure that when silver and gold collapse in price there is no squeeze…how could there be….prices dont fall down during a squeeze ,prices go up….as in much higher,so there sure werent signs of a squeeze tuday…the last 2 expirations there was all this nonsense of a squeeze as the price collapsed, and tuday it was even worse….silver down 11 percent?????thats not a shortsqueeze,i can assure, its the opposite….there are 2 things to watch for for a short squeeze…1=== the price is going up relentlessly….2===december will continue to gain on jan and feb and march…and will actually be priced higher than subsequent months

LONDON (Reuters) - Mice fed junk food for nine months showed signs of developing the abnormal brain tangles strongly associated with Alzheimer’s disease, a Swedish researcher said on Friday.

The findings, which come from a series of published papers by a researcher at Sweden’s Karolinska Institutet, show how a diet rich in fat, sugar and cholesterol could increase the risk of the most common type of dementia.

“On examining the brains of these mice, we found a chemical change not unlike that found in the Alzheimer brain,” Susanne Akterin, a researcher at the Karolinska Institutet’s Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center, who led the study, said in a statement.

“We now suspect that a high intake of fat and cholesterol in combination with genetic factors … can adversely affect several brain substances, which can be a contributory factor in the development of Alzheimer’s.”

Alzheimer’s disease is incurable and is the most common form of dementia among older people. It affects the regions of the brain involving thought, memory and language.

While the most advanced drugs have focused on removing clumps of beta amyloid protein that forms plaques in the brain, researchers are also now looking at therapies to address the toxic tangles caused by an abnormal build-up of the protein tau.

In her research, Akterin focused on a gene variant called apoE4, found in 15 to 20 percent of people and which is a known risk factor for Alzheimer’s. The gene is involved in the transport of cholesterol.

She studied mice genetically engineered to mimic the effect of the variant gene in humans, and which were fed a diet rich in fat, sugar and cholesterol for nine months — meals representing the nutritional content of fast food.

These mice showed chemical changes in their brains, indicating an abnormal build-up of the protein tau as well as signs that cholesterol in food reduced levels of another protein called Arc involved in memory storage, Akterin said.

“All in all, the results give some indication of how Alzheimer’s can be prevented, but more research in this field needs to be done before proper advice can be passed on to the general public,” she said.

Believe what you will.  I guess it depends on what our respective definitions of “we” and “interferes” are.  Thank goodness our bodies are a lot smarter than our brains (or mouths).  All one has to do is go into a grocery store or a vitamin store and look for the food.  Or maybe go to the popular fastfood joints, or a school cafeteria.  Or visit a hospital to see what ails people.  Or a million other things.  Lighten up, man, we don’t eat perfectly and we really don’t want to.  A lot more can be said but doesn’t need to be.  And careful who you call silly, I resemble that!

Truth 21:44……….Thats a stretch to see a gap at 19:50

…..if its there its like 2 cents…..I say its closed………but My vote doesnt matter…

Hahnemann’s book was written in something like 1830. Vitamins weren’t  even named until the early 1900’s. I haven’t read the whole book, but certainly am acquainted with his ideas and the writings of some of those who followed in his footsteps.

Goldballoon, excuse me for saying this, but “Much if not most of what we put into our mouths, including vitamins & supplements, interferes with our health” is a silly statement. The evidence in favor of using specific supplements for general health and for specific situations is overwhelming and cannot be brushed aside with silly statements. It also cannot be swept aside by biased “research” originating from those influenced by the modern medical paradigm, bought and paid for by drug companies.

Truth: I’m a clinical nutritionist who has studied and practiced the orthomolecular approach for the last 9 years. I’m like a naturopath in that I’m also certified in medicinal herbs, shiatsu, reflexology, aromatherapy, Bach flowers and guided imagery (including soul retrieval and past life regression therapy). I’ve never formally studied homeopathy, but have seen it work and have nothing against it.

Alright!  It’s a beautiful sight.  We had light clouds here also.  The viewing was better than the photography, my camera isn’t good for that kind of stuff anyway.

ferret- I owe you an apology.  What I meant was the view shown in the earlier post was for the northern hemisphere:

The view from Australia might look more like this:

Touche!!!!!   ;-)

Fully @ 21:15

I like the idea of silver eagles being $19.03, however, I think that number is almost as phony as the crimex price.

That sight must be factoring in a lot of slabbed eagles which always bring a little more and possibly even slabbed proof eagles which bring a large premium.

Right now you can go to www.gainesvillecoins.com/ and buy ‘08 eagles for $14.34 bank wire or $14.48 credit card price. Shipping within a week.
